Handmade Fall Card

handmade fall cards

Today I am sharing one of my favorite handmade fall cards from the Stampin’ Up! Holiday catalog using the Country Home stamp set.  This card uses the Country Lane Designer series paper which has some great fall colors in it.  Crushed Curry, Cajun Craze and Early Espresso is one of my favorite color combinations for fall!

The Country Lane  DSP has a beautiful combination of Crushed Curry, greens, purple and brown shades.  Perfect for fall.  I was thinking perfect for making a Thanksgiving table come together with napkin rings and little favor ideas.

What I love about the Country Home Stamp set is the variety of
images and the way that they layer together to make a beautiful focal point for a card.

Let’s move onto the details for this card.

The base of this card is a 11″ x 4 1/4″ piece of Crushed Curry cardstock scored at 5 1/2″.  The next layer is a 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″ piece of Early Espresso cardstock.

The next layer is made up of two pieces, a 3″ x 3 3/4″ piece of Cajun Craze cardstock and a 3 3/4″ x 2″ piece of the Country Lane DSP with the Cotton Flower pattern.  The cajun craze cardstock has been embossed with the Tin Tile embossing folder.  As a person who has lived most of her life in antique houses, I love this folder..  My farmhouse had a Tin Ceiling in the kitchen.

The center piece is a 2 1/4″ x 3 1/4″ piece of Whisper white cardstock layered onto a 2 3/8″ x 3 3/8″ piece of Early Espresso cardstock.  I stamped the milk jug on an extra piece of Whisper White cardstock with Black Momento ink.  I added the flower arrangement on top and colored the flowers and the milk jug with Stampin’ Up!’s Blends markers.   Next I cut out the milk jug and flowers very carefully and then added them to the center piece of the card.  I used dimensionals to make this piece pop!  Then I used the light Pool Party Blend marker to color behind the flowers and milk jug to give it  a little depth.  Then I added a couple of the Silver Faceted Gems to the bottom right side of the card.

On the inside of the card, I added a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Whisper White cardstock and stamped the flower arrangement.  I also colored those with the Stampin’ Up! Blends markers.  I think this does a lot to finish off this card!.

This is why the Country Home Suite is my favorite fall stamp set and DSP combination from the Holiday catalog.

Thanks for stopping by today!
