Happy Mother’s Day to all of my friends out in Cyber Land!! This is the Mother’s Day card that I mailed on Thursday to my mother!
I am actually celebrating Mother’s Day with my kids and husband in Potsdam, NY My son graduated from Clarkson University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering! What a great Mother’s Day present!
This card is made with one of the new stamps, Wildflower Meadow, from the upcoming New Catalog!I used the new blue – Pool Party which is a returning in color. I stamped the image using White ink and embossed it with white Embossing powder. I then added pearls to the center of the flowers.
I added a couple of small cardstock flowers to the bottom corner. To make these, use the 7/8″ scallop circle punch to punch a scrap of card stock. Crumple up the card stock and kneed it to break down the fibers of the paper. Do this until you can pull the layers of the cardstock apart. Pinch from the center and layer two pieces together. Snip off the end of the flower and use crystal effects to attach to the card and hold together! Voila!
I love these flowers! Here is the same card but made with crumb cake card stock. I am not sure which one I like better. I do know that I like the look of the pearls on the center of the flowers! The pearls just seem to add that little pizazz to the card!
