Update on the SanClemente Family

If you have been following my blog, then you know that I have been really busy with graduations this spring and that I haven’t had the time to play with my new catalog toys as I would have liked…  So instead of cards with new ideas, I’ll post some family shots.  This is what I have been doing with my week off from my business!

First, our son John, graduated from Clarkson University in Potsdam, NY on May 11th with a BS in Mechanical Engineering.   Here are a few pictures from the day.  It had been in the 80’s every day the week of their Senior week.  So John had fun playing golf and hanging out with his friends the week.  Of course I pack for 80 degree weather with some shorts, one pair of jeans and a sleeveless dress.  I did throw a sweater in my bag at the last minute.  So we show up on Friday afternoon and the temperature drops and the clouds come in.  Fortunately graduation was inside but the post-graduation reception was outside and was cold and very windy…

This is John with our daughter Emily (who is graduating from high school 8 days later!)

This photo is all of us outside in the cold.  My husband Dave, John, Emily and me.

After John’s graduation we went back to his Fraternity house and had a great time meeting some of the other parents of his friends.  Then Sunday was the bittersweet process of packing all of John’s things from 4 years of college into our two cars…  How can 4 years have gone so fast??

The next week was all of the Senior activities and award ceremonies for our Daughter Emily’s graduation from the Academy of Notre Dame in Tyngsboro, MA…  This first picture is the award ceremony on Thursday night.

Emily is a Math and Science girl.  She also has a natural aptitude for computer science and received an award from the Computer Science teacher.

Since NDA is an all girls high school, they wear a white gown with a ring of roses in their hair for graduation rather than the traditional graduation gowns.

The girls looked beautiful walking down the front steps of the school in their white gowns!

Our two grads together!!  Then time to go home and celebrate!!  Fortunately the rain held off during graduation and then the skys opened up when we got home.  So we ended up with a make shift tarp over the deck on the back of the house to accommodate our cookout plans.

The day ended with a great celebration with family and friends!

What an insane week!

Needless to say, I slept all day Monday and Tuesday!
