Quick and Easy Card

Hi all,

This week I made a slew of these cards for my kids to use as thank you notes for their graduation gifts…

The best thing about this card is that it is a great way to use up left over pieces of designer paper!!  I used the Oh Hello set (c 130733) and oval collection framelits (129381)  with basic Whisper White card stock (100730).  I cut the oval with the framelits and my new Magnetic Platform on my Big Shot!!

I have to say that the Magnetic platform (130658) is my favorite new toy!!  The framelits DO NOT move!!

I stamped the arrow from the Oh Hello set in Bermuda Bay and then the Thanks so Much in Island Indigo over the arrow.  I sponged the side of the oval with the bermuda bay to add a little depth to the oval.  Then I layered the oval onto the card with dimensionals!

Everyone’s favorite tool – you should all have dimensionals in your stash!!

And an update on my family!  Graduations are over and tennis season is over as well!  John starts his new job on Monday with Dresser-Rand as a project engineer.  So we have been busy packing up things and getting ready to have movers take the furniture that he wants to Colorado.  A great way for me to clean out some our old things!!

Tennis season ended on a very positive note for Emily!  She hurt her knee this year and couldn’t finish the season playing singles which is her favorite position.  But she and her doubles partner won the only game in their final match at the State tournament!!  So a great way to end the year!  And she received the sportsmanship award for all of the work that she did for the team when she was benched due to her injury!

That’s about it for now!  I am looking forward to spending some time playing with my new stamps and designer papers!
