This Thanksgiving

card made with punches is an oldie but goodie that I found buried in my card stash.  I pulled this card out yesterday took it to the Senior Center at the Billerica Sr. Center.  They loved it!!

The hat is a 1 1/4″ square punch with the word window punch for the brim.  The turkey’s head is the 1″ circle punch and the body is the 1 3/4″ circle punch.

The feathers are made with the medium scallop circle big shot die.  Cut a chocolate chip scallop circle, a pumpkin pie scallop circle and a really rust scallop circle.  I used a full really rust scallop circle as the base for the feathers.  The pumpkin pie scallop is cut to form the top section of feathers and adhered to the really rust scallop circle.  The chocolate chip scallop circle is also trimmed to make the bottom section of feathers.

The turkey’s feet and nose are sections of the scallop circle punch with pumpkin pie card stock.  The turkey’s “gobble” is a piece of a really rust scallop circle.

A white marker and brown Stampin’ Write marker was used to outline the edges of the pieces to look like stitching.

This card brought back great memories of card classes with elementary school kids that I taught about 10 years ago…  All those kids have grown up and are in High School.  What a great handmade Thanksgiving card!

Enjoy your weekend!
