Here is a Festive Flurry card that I made using the versa mark pad to create a shadowed effect. I love the look of this technique and the shadowed effect. What a great technique to show off the delicacy of the snowflakes.
The details:
You will need a versa mark pad or illuminate pad and a white Staz-on pad.
Stamp the large snowflake with the versa mark or illuminate pad. Ink up the large snowflake and stamp again lining up as close as possible to the first image. NOTE: you don’t want it to be exact… Slightly off creates the shadowed effect! Set aside to dry.
Stamp the small snowflake in Pool Party ink and the medium snowflake in smoky slate ink.
Cut out with the festive flurry framelits.
Use dimensionals to add depth to the snowflake. Add rhinestone jewels to the tips of the snowflakes and a Festive Flurry embellishment to the center of the snowflake.
Attach to center of card.
The message is stamped on a scrap of vellum card stock. Since vellum is translucent, you can see the snail or tape through the vellum.
So, my tip for Vellum: Create an element or use an embellishment to hide the area where you tape the vellum. I stamped the small snowflake in pool party and cut out the center start. I attached this to the card over the side of the vellum to hide the tape.
Have a great weekend!
