Handmade Birthday Card

This is a handmade birthday card made with the Confetti Celebration Designer Paper.    This year, I purchased one set of each of the new Designer Papers and have been trying to use a new set of paper each time I make a new card DSCN0326wdesign.  So this is today’s MojoMonday sketch challenge.

Here are the details:

        • Stamp Set – Perfect Pennants
        • Designer Paper – Confetti Celebration
        • Cardstocks – Tangelo Twist, Crushed Curry, Strawberry Slush, Bermuda Bay and Whisper White
        • Inks– Bermuda Bay, Strawberry Slush, Tangelo Twist and Crushed Curry

The card base is Tangelo Twist with a layer of Crushed Curry.  The crushed curry is embossed with the Arrows Embossing folder.  I used the coordinating markers to color in the “a” and banners and cut them out to make them 3D.  The star is stamped with Strawberry Slush ink and added with a dimensional.

Today I had a helper with my design process.  My nephew Adam is staying with me for a couple of weeks so he can attend the tennis camp in our neighborhood.  So he wanted to design a card too.

Here is Adam coloring in the flower that he stamped with the Blended Bloom Stamp.  He used the STampin’ Write markers to color in the flower.

DSCN0320eHere is his card.  He used the same Confetti Celebration designer paper with Tempting Turquoise, Tangelo Twist, and Pacific Point card stocks.   He layered his Blended Blossom flower onto a squaDSCN0322ewre of Blackberry Bliss.

Adam punched a flower using the Pansy punch and added that to the corner of the card.  He used a piece of Mossy Meadow Ribbon to make the leaves on the punched flowers.

Adam did a great job with this card…  A Future Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator??  He just celebrated his 8th Birthday!

Enjoy!
