Handmade Birthday card

This adorable handmade Birthday card is made with Stampin’ Up!’s new stamp set In This Together.  Thanks to Nancy Flanagan, one of my really talented downlines who designed this card.  One of my customers, Cathie decided that this is just what she wanted for her friend’s birthday so CASED it.  And best of all there is a cute little pocket on the inside which is perfect for a gift certificate!

Here are the details for the card:

Cardstock:  Melon Mambo, Blushing Bride and Whisper White.

The image is colored in with Stampin’ Write markers.  The frame is made by using two oval dies nested together to cut a 1/4″ oval.  NOTE:  you can next the two dies together on your piece of cardstock and run them through your die cutting machine in one pass.

The sentiment “Make a Wish” is from the Perfect Penants stamp set and is stamped and embossed with white craft ink and white embossing powder.  To add a little bling, Cathie used dazzling details on the frame – just paint it on with a paint brush and some rhinestone jewels on the sentiment which was punched out with the decorative label punch.

I love the little pocket on the inside!  Perfect for a gift certificate!  To make this pocket – cut a piece of cardstock that is 2 1/2″ x 4 1/4″.  Use a little piece of sticky strip to attach just the edges to the card.  YOu want to be able to add  your gift certificate to the inside.  For the “flap” on the envelope, cut a piece of whisper white cardstock to 1″ x 4 1/4″.  Place on your cutter and cut at a diagonal angle.  Use a corner rounder to make the rounded corner on the flap.  Attach to the front of the pocket envelope!

Cathie used the Label Collection framelits to cut a piece of blushing bride cardstock to add to the inside of the envelope.

Great Job!
