Handmade Christmas Card with Wonderous Wreath

Today’s card is made with the Stampin’ Up! Wonderous Wreath Stamp set with the Trim the Tree Designer paper stack.

The details on this Card:

The Wreath is stamped on Whisper White cardstock.   This is a three part stamp set which means that you can add color to the image without having to color the stamp with markers.  The image is divided into three parts;  2 wreaths with leaves that line up and allow you to use shades of color to create a wreath with depth.

The fullest part of the wreath is stamped with pear pizazz (the lighter green color) and the highlighted leaves are stamped with garden green which is a shade darker.

What I love about this particular two part stamp set is the little tail on the bottom of the actual stamp. It makes this 3 part stamp set so much easier to line up!!

So to line up the stamps – make sure that you put your stamps on the blocks in the same direction with the tail pointing in the same direction. It makes the layers much easier to line up.

Stamp the third layer, the berries, with real red ink over the wreath.

Then cut out the wreath with the matching framelits..  The framelits also have the little tail to assist in lining everything up when cutting!  I love it!!

Of course I had to add a little bling to my card.  I used Red Dazzling Details to highlight the berries on the wreath.  I added “Joy” from the wonderous wreath framelits set cut from Red Glimmer paper.

This card was inspired by this week’s Mojo Monday Challenge.
