Bohemian Watercolor Wings Card

water wings-wToday I have a Watercolor Wings Card made with  Bohemian Designer Paper.  This layout is a tall and thin card that was inspired by this week’s Mojo Monday sketch.  The dimensions of this card are 9″ x 4 1/4″.

A couple of weeks ago, I mentioned that I wanted to focus on a different Designer paper each week.  Well, a week doesn’t seem to be enough time for one set of Designer paper so I think it will be every 10 days.

So for the next 10 days I will be focusing on Bohemian Designer paper.  So which set did you see and absolutely have to have from the new Catalog?  For me, one of them was Watercolor Wings so that is the set that I used today.

So the details on this card:

Cardstocks:
Very Vanilla, Rich Razzleberry, Bermuda Bay and Bohemian Designer paper.

Inks:  Rich Razzleberry, Bermud139424Sa Bay and Delightful Dijon.

The Stamp Set is Watercolor Wings with the Bold Butterflies Framelits to cut out the butterflies.  Watercolor Wings is a 3 part stamp set.  This means that there are 3 images that fit together that you ink up with 3 colors to make a colorful butterfly.   So to make the butterfly, I used Delightful Dijon and stamped off to make a lighter shade of yellow for the background.  I then stamped the outwater wings2 culine around the wings with Bermuda Bay and the details of the wings with Rich Razzleberry.

The butterfly is then cut with the Bold Butterflies framelits.  To add dimension to the card, I cut a smaller outline butterfly with from Very Vanilla cardstock.  I then sponged on Bermuda Bay to add a little color.

And of course, every card needs some bling.  I used a  little dazzling details on the details of the wings and a few Rhinestone Jewels in thwater wings cue center of the Butterfly.

And don’t forget about the sentiment.   I wanted the sentiment to pop on this card.  So I stamped the “Just for you” with Rich Razzleberry ink and punched it out with the Decorative Label punch.  I sponged the edge so that it pops on the background paper. Then I added a bow made with the Bow Punch from Bermuda Bay cardstock.  I added a small stamped butterfly to the middle of the bow.  Last but not least, I added a piece of Rich Razzleberry ribbon.

So which stamp set was your must have from the new catalog?

Enjoy!
