Botanical Blooms card

botanical bloom-wToday I am working on designs for an upcoming class using the new Stampin’ Up! Botanical Blooms stamp set and matching framelits.  This stamp set has some beautiful Designer paper with it – Botanical Blooms but I think this stamp set also goes well with the Sale-a-bration paper Wildflower Fields.  So I am planning on making this card with the Botanical Blooms paper too.

In the meantime – here are the details for this card.  The card is inspired by today’s Mojo Monday sketch.

The card base is Lost Lagoon cardstock cut to 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ and scored at 4 1/4″.  The next layer is a piece of Blackberry Bliss cardstock cut to 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″ framing a piece of the Wildflower fields  Designer paper cut at 3 3/4″ x 5″.  Next I cut a piece of the Blackberry Bliss flowered pattern to 1 1/2″ x 3″ and layered this onto a piece of Blackberry Bliss cardstock trimmed to a banner.

The flowers are cut from Blackberry Bliss, Lost Lagoon, So Saffron and Pink Piroubotanical bloom cuette cardstock scraps with the Botanical Framelits.  I used a scrap of the Blushing Bride Glimmer paper to make the center of the flowers from the framelits.  And of course, you need bling – so I added a Rhinestone jewel to the center of each flower.

I will add the matching card made with Botanical Blooms designer paper later this evening after I finish it!
