Today I have a card that I made using the new Stampin’ Up! stamp set Santa’s Sleigh from the upcoming Stampin’ Up! Holiday catalog available on September 1st! I am really loving this new Holiday catalog and couldn’t decide what to order – so actually ordered 6 new Christmas sets (usually I order 3).
Anyway – this set is really neat – it has a Sleigh with a detailed die to cut out a fancy overlay for the Sleigh. This cards was inspired by this week’s Mojo Monday sketch. I actually made the card on Tuesday but am just getting time now to post it!
So the details on this card:
The Designer paper is the Candy Cane Lane Designer paper from the upcoming Holiday Catalog.
The base of the Sleigh is cut from Gold Foil with the overaly cut from Red Glimmer paper.
So I am liking this Designer paper so much, I couldn’t decide which side of the paper to use… So this is a second card that I made using the other side of the Candy Cane Lane Designer paper. So the details on these cards.
The Card bases are Real Red and Crumb Cake on the second card. The second layer is cut to 5 1/4″ x 4″. The Designer paper is cut to 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″.
The second card has the Sleigh base cut from Copper Foil with an overlay of Real Red Foil, which has been discontinued, but I have a couple of pieces laying around!
The Ribbon on the first card is a piece of the Real Red 3/4″ Stitched Edge Ribbon that will be available in the Holiday catalog.
Each of the sleighs are layered on a white doily. The “merry” is cut using the Christmas Greetings Thinlits.
So which Santa’s Sleigh card do you like better? Card #1 or Card #2?
super cute card! I am so glad you played along with the
mojo monday sketch!
