I am really loving the new Star of Light Stamp set and thinlits from the new Stampin’ Up! Holiday catalog. And the funny part is that this is not a set that I immediately ordered when I saw this catalog. I borrowed the set from a friend and of course have now ordered it. Why can’t I have everything? Oh Yeah – I don’t have enough room to store everything! LOL
So the details on this card. This card is stunning but a fairly quick and simple card. The card base is a 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ piece of Soft Sky Cardstock scored at 4 1/4″. The next layer is a 3 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ piece of the Fancy Frost Specialty Designer Series Paper. The swirl on the background is stamped with Blushing Bride ink and the small stars have been stamped with Soft Sky ink. Each side of the DSP is layered with a piece of Silver Glitter ribbon from the Holiday catalog.
Next I cut a star using the Detailed Starlight Thinlits from Blushing Bride Glimmer paper. Note: the best way to cut this particular star is to cut the center pattern first and then line up the star outline around the detail design! I used 1/2″ pieces of the new Foam Adhesive Strips to on the back of the star so that it pops from the card!
Then the bling: I used a couple of the Fancy Frost Sequins and Rhinestone Jewels to add some detail to the card.
Here are the supplies that were used for this card:
