Today I am sharing a 3D Valentine’s box for this week’s Global Design Team Challenge. I made this box from a pattern that one of my team members on the Stamping New England Team, Margaret Galvez created. She is a very creative and talented person and a great asset to my team!
So the details on this project. The box is made from a 4 1/4″ x 9 1/4″ piece of Real Red Cardstock. Score the piece at 3, 3 1/2″ , 6 1/2″, 7″. Score the two long sides at 1/4″ x 5/8″. Fold along the score lines and then cut out tabs along the top and bottom flaps.
The two flaps are decorated with pieces of the Sending Love Designer Series Paper Stack from the Stampin’ Up! Occasions catalog! The tricky part with this box is the arrow on the top. Margaret used the Heart framelit from the Love Notes Framelits die which has two sides that fold up. She cut an arrow on the top of the box and fed the sides of the heart thru the arrow to make a closoure. When you fold the sides of the heart down, it makes a heart on top of the box. I used Red Foil to cut the heart for the closure.
This box holds 6 of the Hershey nuggets. You can wrap the nuggets in 1″ x 3″ pieces of Sending Love Designer paper – perfect for using up the scraps!
I love this cute little box!
Perfect for a small Valentine’s gift for a friend or teacher!
