Today I am sharing a card that one of my team members made using the new Carols of Christmas stamp set which will be available in August. How can it almost be August??
Perfect timing for my Christmas in July Class this Friday! I love being part of a Stamping Team. My group, Stamping New England gets together once a month to design projects for upcoming classes. I can’t believe the variety of ideas that two different people can design using the same cardstock and stamp set.
The Carols of Christmas stamp set is beautiful and I can already envision so many beautiful cards with it.
And what really makes this set special is the thinlits that are also available. They are beautiful!
Here are the details on this card:
The card base is made with a 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ piece of Dapper Denim cardstock scored at 4 1/4″. The first layer is a piece of Whisper White cardstock cut to 4″ x 5 1/4″. The outline thinlit was used around the edge of this piece of cardstock. (You will need to run this piece of cardstock thru the Big Shot twice to outline the whole layer). I love the detailed cuttings on this thinlit.. I see some great frames for Family Christmas pictures! Margaret used scraps of Gold Foil and Gold Glimmer paper behind the detailed cutouts along the edge of the frame.
The next layer is the gold embossed piece of Dapper Denim Designer paper that is part of the Eastern Palace Specialty Designer Paper. This piece is cut to 3 1/4″ x 4 1/2″. Next is a set of pine trees cut using the pine tree thinlit with Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper.
Last is a piece of Whisper white cardstock stamped with “Peace on Earth” and Versamark ink and embossed with Gold Embossing powder. This sentiment is cut out with the Layering Ovals framelits.
