Half Full meets Christmas cards

Today I am sharing a card that one of my team members, Margaret made using the Stampin’ Up! Half Full stamp set.  I love this non-Christmas Christmas card!  I shared this card with my Stamp Club members last week and they also loved the card!

Here are the details of this card.  The card base is a piece of 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ basic black cardstock scored at 4 1/4″ and folded in half.  The next layer is a        5 1/4″ x 4″ piece of Old Olive Cardstock that is stamped with the grouping of wine glasses and old olive ink.  I love this cute little background.

Next is a layer of the Merry Little Christmas Designer Series paper.  The DSP is cut to 2 1/2″ x
3 1/2″ and layered onto a piece of Basic Black cardstock that is cut to  2 5/8″ x 3 5/8″.

Next the Wine Bottle is stamped on a piece of whisper white cardstock and also on a Window Sheet.  You will need to use a Black Staz-on ink pad for the ink to dry on the window sheet.  Cut out each wine bottle.   Stamp the label for the wine bottle on a scrap of White.  Cut this out and color it with a dab of so Saffron ink.  Place over the bottle on the window sheet.  Layer label on top of plastic.  Stamp just the top of the Wine Bottle on a scrap of Old Olive cardstock.  Cut this out and attach to the top of the wine bottle.

Next stamp the Wine Glass on a piece of Whisper White cardstock.  Cut out.  Color the wine with a dab of so saffron ink and an aqua painter.

Next stamp the sentiments that you want to use on a piece of Whisper White cardstock.  Cut around these in a rectangle (approximately 3/4″ x 2 1/2″)  Layer onto a slightly larger piece of Basic Black cardstock.  Attach to the front of the card.
