My favorite Holiday Stamp set

Stampin' Up! Winter WoodsToday I am sharing a card made with the Stampin’ Up! Winter Woods stamp set; my new favorite stamp set from the Holiday catalog.   I love the variety of this stamp set and coordinating thinlits that let you make a 3D tree.  I also love the variety of the trees that are available with this set.  The birch trees are absolutely beautiful and the line of trees give you a lot of options for fall and winter cards.
  

One of my favorite color combinations for any card is all white or vanilla with a pop of color.   For this card, I stamped the tree with versamark ink and used Iredescent Ice Embossing powder to add a little glitz to the tree.  It is hard to see in the picture but the tree has a nice shimmer to it from the embossing powder. NOTE: is retired but you could also use a little of the white shimmer paste to add a “snow” look to the branches of the tree.

What I love about the thinlits that go with this set is the dimension that you can get by layering two trees together.  After cutting the second tree, bend the branches out and use mini dimensionals to put the two trees together.

The card base is Whisper white cut to 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2“, scored at 4 1/4”.  Next is a piece of Real Red cardstock cut to 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8“.  Next a piece of Gray Granite that is cut to 3 3/4″ x 5″.  Last is a piece of whisper white cardstock cut to 3 5/8″ x 4 7/8″.

The birch trees are stamped across the background of the white card stock with Sahara sand ink.  I added a piece of Sparkle Glimmer paper cut with the sloping thinlit that is part of the this set to represent snow.  Then I added the tree to the card with dimensionals.
I stamped the sentiment from the Merry Christmas to All stamp set with Real Red ink on the upper right of the card.

And last but not least I added some of the Red Rhinestones to the tree and on the sentiment.
