Happy Easter – Hold onto Hope Card

Happy Easter – a day late!!  Today I am sharing a beautiful Easter Card made with the Hold Onto Hope stamp set from Stampin’ Up!

Hold Onto Hope
This very elegant card is made using the Country Rose embossing folder with Petal pink cardstock.   Here are the details for this card.

The card base is a 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ piece of Whisper White cardstock scored and folded at 4 1/4″.   Next cut a piece of Petal Pink cardstock to 5 1/4″ x 4″.  Use the medium Oval from the Layering Ovals framelit set to cut the window in the center of the Petal pink cardstock.  Make sure that the cross framelit fits easily inside the oval.  Emboss the Petal Pink piece with the Country Rose embossing folder.

Next use the same oval that you used to cut the window with the next larger scalloped oval to cut a scalloped oval frame from a piece of Champaign Foil.  Adhere around the oval window on the petal pink piece. Attach the Petal pink layer with Foam Adhesive strips to the front of the card.

Stamp the Hold onto Hope sentiment with versamark ink on a piece of whisper white cardstock.  Emboss with Copper embossing powder.  Cut out with the coordinating framelit from the Cross of Hope dies.  Cut a thick cross from a piece of Champaign Foil and the thin cross from a piece of Copper Foil.  Attach the Copper Foil Cross over the Champaign Cross.  Attach to the front of the card inside the window.  Use dimensionals to attach the Hold onto Hope sentiment below the cross centered onto the card.

While I was designing this card, I made two – one with the Petal Pink Layer on top and a second with all Whisper White cardstock.  I love the look of mixing the two shades of foil with both cards.

Here are the supplies that I used for these card:

I hope that you all enjoyed your Easter Day!
