Today I am sharing a Gather Together Swing Card that I made using the Stampin’ Up! Gather Together stamp set and Come to Gather Designer Series Paper. These cards are so much fun to make and sure to Wow the person that receives the card!
Here are the details on this card:
Card Base: Crumb Cake Cardstock cut to 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″. Cut a 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″ piece of Early Espresso Cardstock for the next layer and attach this piece to the card base. Use the square die that fits around your leaf stamp to cut a square in the top center of the card.
Cut a piece of the Come Together Designer Series paper to 3 3/4″ x 5″. Lay over the top of your card but do not attach. Flip your card open and trace around the Square so you know where to line up the DSP. Cut the square layer from the DSP layer. Set aside.
Next, stamp 2 of the large leaves with Early Espresso ink on Very Vanilla Cardstock and cut out with the coordinating die. Cut out several smaller leaves with scraps of pumpkin pie, cajun craze and Copper Foil with the small leaf dies.
Coloring the Leaves:
Use an aqua painter and color a very light layer of pumpkin pie ink on each leaf. Then use the cajun craze ink with 2 drops of water mixed into a pool of ink on the cover of the ink pad to trace along the vein of the leaf. The cajun craze will blend into the pumpkin pie and give you nice shading on the leaves!
Making the Swing Element of the card:
Lay one leaf face down on your workspace and cut a 5″ piece of Baker’s Twine. Lay the Baker’s Twine across the leaf and attach the 2nd leaf over the top of the first leaf with the Baker’s Twine. Trim the Baker’s twine at the edge of the Early Espresso layer.
Add adhesive to the top and middle of the Early Espresso Layer under the square. Line up the Designer paper that you cut earlier and attach to the front of the card. That’s it. You have made your leaves swing!
Make the Scalloped Outline for the Square: Use the Square Die that you used to cut the square in the center of the card with the next largest Scalloped Square die. Line these two dies up on a piece of Cajun Craze cardstock and cut out two scalloped square outlines. Attach to the outsife and inside of the card around the square.
Next stamp your sentiment onto a piece of Very Vanilla Cardstock. Cut out the message with a Stitched Label Die. 
Use Glue Dots to attach the smaller leaves to the bottom of the large leaves and the edge of the Sentiment. Use Nobel Peacock Rhinestones to embellish the edge of the sentiment.
Add a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Very Vanilla cardstock to the inside of the card. Stamp the wheat on the inside of the card. That’s it! Enjoy your Swing Card!
