Another Fun Fold Crossover Card

Marilyn’s Little ladybug card

Yesterday I posted a cute Fun Fold Crossover card made with the Little Ladybug stamp set. My friend Julie made almost the exact card without seeing my card. So here is Julie’s card!

She used the Peaceful Poppies designer series paper and the Black and White Striped paper from the Golden Honey Sale-a-braiton designer paper.

Julie’s card base is a 4 1/4″ x 11″ piece of Flirty Flamingo Cardstock scored at 2 3/4″ and 8 1/4″. The sides of the card fold in and meet in the middle. The two tabs are 2″ x 5 1/8″ pieces of Black cardstock. Next is a layer of Peaceful Poppies designer paper cut to 1 7/8″ x 5“. The 3rd layer is a piece of Whisper white cardstock cut to 4 1/2″ x 1 1/2″. Each piece of Whisper white cardstock has had the corners rounded.

The Top Tab has a 1 3/8″ x 4 1/4″ piece of the striped black and white designer paper from the Honey Bee DSP. Next is a 1″ x 3 7/8″ piece of whisper white cardstock. This piece has the small ladybugs stamped across the piece. The ladybugs have been colored with Flirty Flamingo ink and an aqua painter.

The Bottom Tab has a cute Ladybug stamped and cutout with the corresponding dies. The ladybug is colored with the Flirty Flamingo ink and attached to the tab with a dimensional to make it pop up. Next is a 2 1/4″ x 1 1/4″ piece of the black and white DSP. Use the small scalloped rectangle die from the So Sweetly stitched dies to cut a label from Whisper White cardstock. Stamp the message “Hey Lady” with black ink.

The inside of the card is a 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ piece of Black cardstock. Next is a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Whisper White cardstock. Then a piece of the Peaceful Poppies DSP cut to 3 3/4″ x 3″. Next to this piece is a 1 1/4″ x 3 3/4″ piece of striped DSP.

Stamp the Lily from the Ladybug Stamp set on a piece of whisper white cardstock. Color the LIly with the Flirty Flamingo ink for the flower and Pear Pizazz ink for the stem and leaves. Stamp a ladybug and cut out.

Stamp the message “Spread your wings and FLY!” with black in on a scrap of whisper white. Use a scalloped rectangle from the So Sweetly Stitched dies to cut out a label. Layer onto a piece of Black cardstock. Add to the bottom of the card layer.

the Little Ladybug set is only available as part of Sale-a-bration with a $300 order. If you gather your friends together and put together a $300 order, I will teach a private class for you and your friends in April. The Ladybug stamp set is only available until March 31st – so there are only 2 more weeks to enter your orders.
