Today I am sharing a couple of handmade Foil cards designed with the Flowering Foils Designer paper from Sale-a-bration. The Flowering Foil Designer paper is so much fun to color. The best things about the foils is you can make them any color to go with your card design!
Here are a couple of cards that I made using the foil and some of the other Sale-a-bration stamp sets. As you can see I colored the various foils the color that I wanted to coordinate to the card!
With these cards I also used a couple of other Sale-a-bration stamp sets to make these cards!
The Top Left Card uses 2 pieces of foil cut to 2″ x 5″. The top of the design is the foil with the small flower image which I brayered to add color to the foil. I used Lovely Lipstick ink for the top layer and Granny Apple Green ink for the bottom piece of foil with the grid design. These are adhered to a piece of Granny Apple Green cardstock cut to 4″ x 5 1/4” The layer will overlap a little. Wrap a piece of Granny Apple Green ribbon across the seam of the two foils. Attach this layer to a card base of Lovely Lipstick cardstock cut to 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″ to make the card base.
Next I used a 2 1/2″ square of whisper white cardstock and stamped the Tag image from the Sale-a-bration Tags in Bloom stamp set. I colored the flower and leaves on the image with Lovely lipstick and Granny Apple Green inks.
Cut a 2 3/4″ Scalloped Square from Lovely Lipstick cardstock. Stamp the message ” Wishing you the Best” with Granny Apple Green ink.
Card # 2 – on the Bottom Left Side above: This is a very quick and simple card!
Start with a Card Base of Lovely Lipstick cardstock cut to 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″. Next cut a piece of the desired Foil to 5 1/4″ x 4″. I brayered this piece of Foil with Lovely Lipstick ink. Attach this layer to the card base.
Next I stamped the “Happy Birthday” from the Sale-a-bration Sending you Thoughts stamp set on a piece of whisper white cardstock. I cut out this image with the Stitched So Sweetly Dies. I then cut out a piece of Foil with the next size up die. I used Lovely Lipstick foil which i had left over from last year. Unfortunately is now retired. Attach this to the middle of the card with dimensionals. I added a couple of Rhinestone Jewels for a little bling.
Card #3 – Blueberry Floral card.
This card starts with a Whisper White card base cut to 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″. The next layer is a piece of Blueberry Bushel cardstock cut to 4″ x 5 1/4″. I embossed this piece with the Coastal Weave Embossing Folder. Attach this piece to your card base.
Next I attached a 2″ x 4″ piece of whisper white cardstock across the bottom 3rd of the card. Stamp “Happy Birthday” with Blueberry Bushel ink on the left side. The sentiment is from the Sending you Thoughts stamp set from Sale-a-bration.
Next choose 2 large flower images that you like and carefully cut these out. Use an aqua painter and a little Blueberry Bushel ink to color in the flowers. The leaves are colored with Granny Apple Green ink. Attach the flowers to the card front with dimensionals.
Lastly I added a piece of Blueberry Bushel ribbon that I colored from the Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding. To do this, lay your ribbon over the ink pad and rub the ribbon until it absorbs the ink. Set it aside to dry!
Tie the ribbon into a bow and attach with a glue dot. I added a couple of Blue Rhinestones from the Noble Peacock Rhinestone collection. That’s it!
