Beautiful Spring Tulip - Stamp with Marilyn

Today I am sharing a Beautiful Spring Tulip Card made with the Stampin’ Up! Stamp set Timeless Tulips. Last week I received this beautiful card from one of my Demonstrator friends Kathy.

So of course I had to CASE this card. CASE stands for Copy and Share Everything which is one of Stampin’ Up!’s mantras. So here is my version of the card.

….and here are the details of this card:

The card base is Soft Seafoam cardstock cut to 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″. Next is a 5 1/4″ x 4″ layer of Whisper White cardstock which I embossed with the Ornate Floral 3D Embossing folder which just became available!

I stamped 2 large Tulips with Seaside Spray ink on Whisper White cardstock. I also stamped the leaf that fits into the Tulip Punch with Seaside Spray ink and punched out all these pieces with the Tulip Punch.

Did you know that the “leaf” also works as a petal that you can pop up?!

Next I stamped a medium Tulip with Purple Posy ink. This tulip was fussy cut out and added to the center of the Tulip bunch. 3 leaves were stamped with Pear Pizazz ink on a scrap of Whisper white cardstock and punched out with the Tulip Punch. The stems were also stamped with Pear Pizazz ink on a 2 1/4″ x 3 1/2″ piece of Whisper white cardstock.

The layer of Whisper white cardstock is layered onto a 2 3/8″ x 3 5/8″ piece of Purple Posy cardstock. And next onto a layer of Vellum that is 3 1/4″ x 4 1/2″. Remember that the key to using Vellum is to hid the adhesive behind the main image. Velum is translucent and adhesive will show through if not hidden.

Finally I added a bow made from the Whisper White Polka Dot Ribbon. I love the soft look of this ribbon and how it enhances the softness of this card!
