In Good Taste Cards - Stamp with Marilyn

Today I am sharing In Good Taste cards that I made with the new In Good Taste Suite of products in the new Stampin’ Up! Catalog!

I’m not sure what it is but when I start working on a card, I usually end up making 2 cards in different color schemes!! I am loving the In Good Taste Designer Series paper from Stampin’ Up!. This paper is all about texture. There are wood patterns, tile patterns and fabric patterns with texture. This paper really dresses up any project!

Details of these In Good Taste Cards:

First the Card base is cut from Very Vanilla Cardstock to 11″ x 4 1/4″. It is scored in the middle at 5 1/2″. So this is top fold card. Second is a layer of Blushing Bride cardstock cut to 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″. Third is a piece of the Tile patterned In Good Taste Designer paper cut to 5″ x 3 3/4″.

Next stamp the Sprig from the Tasteful Touches Stamp set with Mossy Meadow ink. I stamped starting at about the 1/3 point from the bottom of the card. The sprig is stamped a couple of time pointing up and once pointing down to give the look of a swag under the layers of the flowers.

Now cut a piece of the desired Texture paper to 1 1/2″ x 3 3/4“. I used the Blushing bride knit pattern texture. This is matted on a piece of Rococo Rose cardstock cut to 1 3/4″ x 3 3/4″. Layer this across the bottom third of the card cutting through the sprig.

Stamp 2 Flowers from the Tasteful Texture stamp set with Tuxedo Black Momento ink. I colored one set of flowers using the Seaside Spray Blends and the second with the Rococo Rose Blends.

You do have to fussy cut out the flowers with this stamp set. There are dies with this bundle, but they are label dies – the Tasteful Labels Dies – which I was glad to see. We needed another set of Label dies for sentiments. So I guess that I will put up with fussy cutting a couple of flowers to have the new set of Tasteful Label dies for sentiments!

I added the Roses with dimensionals to the left side of the card. I then cut a tag using one of the Tasteful Label dies. The sentiments are stamped from the Peaceful Moments Stamp set.

Lastly is a bow made from the Scalloped Lace Ribbon.

I hope that you have enjoyed my project today! Below are the products that I used for these cards. NOTE: that these cards are made with Very vanilla cardstock and I added Whisper white cardstock to the list. But either shade of White goes well with the In Good Taste Designer paper!
