I love this 3D Peony! The Dies contain 4 pieces that cut out the petals to make these peony flowers.. There are also 3 other Peony stamp images in various sizes to be stamped so a lot of variety in the Peony Garden Bundle!

Step 1: Cut out the 4 Peony Petals using the Peony Garden dies. Cut the stamen (center of the flower) with the die from a scrap of So saffron Cardstock.
You can cut out the petals from White cardstock and color them. Or you can cut them out of colored cardstock. The peonies in my example above were Colored with Flirty Flamingo and Highland Heather inks using an Aqua Painter. If you are coloring your peonies – I suggest making them the day before so they can dry before assembling them.
Step 2: The key to making these peonies is to line up the bottom pieces along the curve of the flower while you are assembling the flower.
Step 3: Insert piece 2 into the slot of the large piece. Line up the bottoms of the curves on the flower. Remove the paper off the back of petal 2 so it sticks to the large petal. You can add a glue dot to each layer depending upon how thick you want to make the 3D!
Step 4: Add glue dot to bottom area of petal 3. Insert the petal through the slit in Petal 2 and line up the bottom with the bottom of the other petals.
Step 5: Insert a glue dot on the bottom of the 4th petal. Insert into the middle of petal 3 and line up the bottoms.
Step 6: Add a glue dot to the back of the stamen (the center of the flower) and insert into the middle of the flower through the slit in petal 4.
That’s it!! You have made your Peony Flowers! To make a smaller Peony that hasn’t completely open yet, use the 3 smaller petals. Using the 2 smallest petals will make a peony bud!
Make the Card Base
The card base for these cards is a piece of Whisper White cardstock cut to 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ and scored at 4 1/4. Fold the card base in half. Cut a piece of cardstock that is the same color as the ink that you used to color the flower to 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″. Cut a piece of the background Peony Garden Designer paper to 5″ x 3 3/4″. I colored the peony buds on the Peony Garden Designer paper to the same color as my card. Attach these layers to the card base.
Attach your 3D Peony to the front of your card with Dimensionals! Stamp a sentiment and add to the front of your card! That’s it! Enjoy!
