Today I am showing you how to make a Beautiful Window card with the LIfe is Beautiful stamp set from the new Stampin’ Up! Holiday catalog.
I love the look of these Window cards and they are not difficult to make! Here are the details:
Cutting Instructions:
- The card base is a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock cut to 11″ x 4 1/4″ and scored at 5 1/2″.
- Cut a piece of the Copper Brushed Metallic cardstock to 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″.
- Next is a piece of the Gilded Autumn Designer paper cut to 5″ x 3 3/4″.
Layer the Gilded Autumn Designer paper onto the Brushed Metallic cardstock. Measure down 3/4″ from the top of this piece and cut a 3″ circle using the Layering Circle dies. Layer this onto the Crumb Cake card base and trace the circle onto the front of the card base.
Use the same circle die to cut the circle on the top layer of the card base. Line up the layer with the DSP and attach to the card base.
Next line the Circle die up on a piece of the Copper Brushed Metallic cardstock. Line up the next larger Scalloped Circle die around this die and run through your cutting machine. This will give you a narrow Scalloped circle to layer around the window you created on the card. Attach to the front layer of your card.
Decorating your card:
Stamp the Tree from the Tree of Life Stamp set with Soft Suede ink on a piece of Very vanilla cardstock. Ink up the Leaf stamp from this set with the Crushed Curry ink. Use a sponge dauber to lightly dot Cajun Craze ink on the leaves. Repeat with the Cherry Cobbler ink. Stamp the leaves on the trees.
NOTE: I stamped a second time before re-inking around the tree trunk to look like falling leaves.
Clean the leaf stamp and repeat the process to fill in the leaves on the Tree!. Cut out the tree with the larger die in the Celebrations Labels dies. Attach the tree to the inside of the card. Make sure you can see the leaves of the tree through the window that you made in the card front.
Next stamp your message “Life is beautiful” with Cajun Craze ink on a scrap of Very vanilla cardstock. Cut out with the desired label punch. Attach to the front of the card.
Cut a couple of pumpkins and gourds out of a scrap of the Gilded Autumn Designer paper and attach to the front of the card with dimensionals. Make a small bow with the Copper Ribbon and attach above the label. Add rhinestones from the Holiday Rhinestone assortment as desired!
