Today I am sharing a stunning Gilded Autumn Fall Card that I made using the Life is Beautiful Stamp set and Gilded Autumn Specialty Designer paper. This card is actually pretty quick and easy to make. The secret is in the Layers and the Copper Foil which coordinate so well with the Designer paper.
Here are the details for this card:
The card base is a piece of Cajun Craze Cardstock cut to 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″. Next is a layer of Copper Foil cut to 4″ x 5 1/4″.
HINT: When I am using larger piece of Foil or Glimmer paper; I have a little trick to get the most out of my Foil. Use the So Sweetly die that you are planning to use for the second Foil layer and cut this layer before you layer the foil onto the card. The first layer of foil is behind the next layer of designer paper. So you Foil will go a lot further!
The third layer is a piece of Gilded autumn paper with the acorn and leaves embossed in gold and copper. Then I cut a 1″ x 3 3/4″ piece of the stripped design from the Gilded Autumn paper to put across the bottom of the card.
The Center piece of this card is the Foil Layer cut with the larger Scalloped Rectangle die that is part of the Stitched So Sweetly Dies. Next is a piece of a pretty piece of Autumn paper cut from the next smaller scalloped rectangle from the die set. This is layered on top of the foil.
Lastly is a 1″ x 3″ piece of Very Vanilla Cardstock that is stamped with the phrase Life is Beautiful. I also lightly stamped leaves from the Life is beautiful stamp set on the Very vanilla cardstock. This is also layered on 1 1/8″ x 3 1/8″ inch piece of Copper Foil.
I really love the look of this card! The Gilded Autumn Designer paper is so beautiful! This is one of the cards that my Stamp Club members will be making next Tuesday.
