Today I am sharing 2 fun St. Patrick’s Day cards where I demonstratoed How to Make a Shamrock that I made in my weekly FaceBook Live. Both of these cards are actually quick and simple even though they don’t look that way!!
This first Card is a Quilt card. I was looking for Designer paper that has Shades of Green; so used the Forever Greenery Designer paper from Stampin’ Up!. This is one of my favorite Designer papers that will be retiring in April. It is a gorgeous collection of leaves, ferns and greens in 5 different shades of green color!
I used a small Heart Punch to make the Shamrock in the middle of the card. Punch 3 small hearts and layer them together in the center to make the shamrock. Here is the inside of this card.
For the inside of the card, I used the Stampin’ Up! Word Wishes Dies which have all the Holidays included! The key to using a thin die such as these is to use a double sided Adhesive sheet on the back of the cardstock before you cut out the images. The 2 stamped shamrocks are from a very old Stampin’ Up! set that I had laying around!
The second card today is made with Granny Apple Green Cardstock and the Designer paper that coordinates with each Stampin’ Up! color. I also used the Black & White True Love Designer paper.
To make this Shamrock, I used a medium sized Heart punch. I punched 6 hearts from the Granny Apple Green designer paper. Fold each heart in half and line up the center of 2 folded hearts to make a Shamrock leaf. Then I used the stem from the Timeless Tulips stamp set to stamp the stem on the card.
I added a piece of retired Granny Apple Green ribbon that I had laying around. It is always great to use up those scraps of retired ribbons! The “happy St. Patrick’s Day” stamp is from a very old Stampin’ Up! set called Teeny Tiny Wishes.
Here is a download of the Facebook Live that I recorded.
I hope that you have enjoyed my 2 St. Patrick’s Day Shamrock cards today!! Thank you for stopping by and checking out my cards!!
Happy Stamping!
