Today I am sharing a very quick and simple card where I used One Sketch Two Ways. These cards were inspired by my Stamping friend Rose, who lives in California!
I love the simplicity of this card too and the fact that It is a very Quick and Easy card to make!

The card on the left is made with the Butterfly Brilliance Stamp set which will be in the new catalog. The Designer paper is the Butterfly Bijou Designer paper that is now unfortunately sold out.
The card on the right is a sneak peak of the new Pansy Petals stamp set that will be available on May 4th with the release of the New Annual Catalog!
The Directions for these quick and easy cards:
The card base is a piece of Daffodil Delight Cardstock cut to 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ and scored at 4 1/4″. Fold this piece in half to make the card base. The second layer is a piece of Basic White cardstock cut to 4″ x 5 1/4″.
Then cut 3 pieces of Designer paper 1 1/2″ wide. The first strip on the left is 3″ long, the 2nd strip is 2 1/4″ and the 3rd one is 1 3/4″ long. I marked the center of one end of each strip with a pencil and then cut up on each side to make the points on the pieces.
Next are 3 Butterflies cut from Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo and Bermuda Bay Cardsocks. These are layered on the corresponding butterfly body cut using Basic White cardstock. Each body is colored with a water brush and ink.
Marilyn’s stamping tip for these cards:
My tip for this card is to use the double sided Adhesive Sheets (152334) on the back of the Colored pieces of cardstock before cutting the detailed pieces with the detailed butterfly dies. This makes then so simple to attach to the body of the butterfly!
The Pansy card uses the Pansy petals designer paper which has a beautiful gingham design on a couple of the sheets. The pansies are cut from the Pansy Petal Designer paper using the dies in the set. This set has some gorgeous dies to build a pansy or cut Pansies from the Designer paper.
Don’t forget to decorate the inside of your card.
One of the things that I love about my friend Rose’s Cards is the way she decorates the inside of the cards! I used her format to decorate the inside of my cards. Use a 1/2″ x 5 1/4″ strip of the Designer paper along the bottom of the card! Then decorate with another butterfly and pansies!

The sentiments on these cards are from the Peaceful Moments stamp set. I used “Happy Birthday” on the front of the cards and the line “Life is better with a friend like you.” on the inside of each card. And of course what is a card without the bling?? The beautiful Holiday Rhinestones which are colored to bring out the colors of the images enhance the colors in these cards.
So which card do you like better??
Thanks for stopping by today and checking out my cards!
