Today I am showing you how I made One Card Two ways! I received this gorgeous card from one of my fellow Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Friends: Kathie Durgan. Last Sunday I was invited to a December Wedding so decided that I wanted to make a Wedding Card with a Holiday theme and thought that I would modify this card!
This beautiful card was made with the Whimsy & Wonder Bundle. The Tree is cut from Evening Evergreen Card Stock and embellished with the Glitter Paper from Sale-a-bration with red ornaments. The card background is the Pearlescent Specialty paper that was in the Spring catalog with the Seashell stamps. On this card, the Pearlescent paper is embossed with the Evergreen Forest 3D Embossing Folder. What a great background for this tall majestic tree from the Whimsy & Wonder Bundle.
What I loved about this card is the elegant look that the Pearlescent Specialty Paper gives the card. Because my card was for a Wedding. I used Very Vanilla Cardstock for the Card Base and the Pearlescent Specialty paper for the card front and the tree that I cut from the Whimsy & Wonder Stamp set.
Stamping Tip: I have been using the Evergreen Forrest 3D Embossing Folder to emboss this tree on other Holiday cards that I have made. It adds a lot of dimension and texture to the tree and the overall look of the Card!
The tree garland is cut from the Sale-a-bration Glitter paper. Next are little hearts cut from Gold Glimmer paper and used those in place of ornaments!
I embossed the Sentiment “Wedding Wishes” with Gold Embossing powder. The Wedding Wishes Sentiment and label die are from the new Love & Happiness Bundle in the upcoming January catalog!
I do believe that this set will become my go to Sentiment Set for Weddings, Anniversaries and other Celebrations!
Spoiler alert: There is a really neat hybrid Heart Embossing folder that is part of Bouquet of Love Die set. A hybrid Embossing folder embosses the cardstock and has a coordinating Heart die that fits with the embossing folder which adds more dimension to your projects.
