How to Make Shamrocks

Today I am sharing two St. Patrick’s Day cards that I made last year demonstrating how to make Shamrocks. This is a pretty technique that uses punches to make a shamrock. A great Idea to use when you don’t have a specific Stamp for St. Patrick’s Day!

How to make Shamrocks

Check out the video that I made last year with the instructions for making these Shamrocks!

All of the cutting instructions for these cards are below!

The card on the left uses a Quilting pattern to make the focal point of the card. Chosse 2 pretty designs of designer paper and cut into squares. The Shamrock is made using three small hearts punched out of Garden Green cardstock. The card base is a piece of Old Olive CS.

This second card has a base of Granny Apple Green CS. Next is a Mat that is made using a 3 1/2″ x 4 34″ piece of Basic White cardstock. Next is a layer of Black and white striped designer paper cut to 3 1/4″ x 4 1/2″ with another pattern of white designer paper with black dots that is cut to 2 3/4″ x 4″. Next I used a large Heart punch to cut out 6 medium sized hearts from Granny Apple Green Designer paper.

The inside of the card is a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Basic White CS. The Sentiment on the inside of the card is the cut using the Stampin’ Up! Word Wishes Dies.
