Today I am sharing a beautiful 3D Square Tunnel Card that I received from one of my friends for Christmas! I have never seen this layout for a card before. So I thought this card would be great inspiration for a Valentine’s Card!
I have used the layout of this card to create a Valentine’s Day Card using the Country Floral Suite of products from the new Stampin’ Up! Jan. to April Mini Catalog! This suite of products has a beautiful 2 step floral heart stamp with a coordinating punch with 2 sets of Designer paper. The Country Floral designer paper is a beautiful floral paper with hearts, flowers and a fun spring motif. The second set of Designer paper, Country Gingham is a gingham pattern that coordinates with the Country Floral Designer paper. There is so much that you can do with the Country Floral Suite of products!
These 3D Square Tunnel Cards are actually not as difficult as they look to make! Below is a video that I recorded with all of the details! So grab your Cardstock, a set of Nested Dies (can be any shape), Designer paper and a Stamp set and have fun! These cards are a 4 1/4″ square and use one piece of 8 1/2″ x 11″ CS to make the 4 layers!
I started with a sheet of Petal Pink Cardstock which coordinated with the Country Floral Designer paper. Cut the cardstock in half at 4 1/4″ x 11″. Score the first piece at 4 1/4″, 5 1/4″, 9 1/2″ & 10 1/2″. Cut the second piece to 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″. Score each end at 5/8″ of an inch. Cut the 3rd piece to 5 1/8″ x 4 1/4″. Score each end at 3/8″ of an inch.
Cut 4 pieces of different Designer paper patterns to 4″ squares. Attach 3 of then to the front of each piece. The 4th piece will be the inside design.
Watch the video below to see how to assemble your card and how to cut out the “tunnel” using a set of Nested dies! You can use any shape of Nested dies! I used the Stampin’ Up! Diorama dies for my card!
