Today I am sharing a cut Love Cats Fun Fold Card that I made for my sister for Valentine’s Day. She has this very special cat, Marco who is blind.
Marco was a stray cat that had an infection in his eyes. Someone rescued him and took him to a local Vet. The Vet had to remove his eyes to save him. The Vet knew that it would take someone with lots of patience to work with Marco to give him a good life. My sister had just lost her cat of many years and the Vet knew my sister and her husband very well. That was seven years ago. Today Marco is very entrenched in the family. He is just like any other cat except he finds things by sound. He loves to play with cat toys and sometimes loses them but follows them by sound when he bats them around. He also loves to play with ice that falls out of the fridge door. He is a lot of fun and very lovable!
So that was the inspiration for my card today! This is a cute Fun Fold Window card. The new Stampin’ Up! Love Cats really hit home with me as I have had many cats in my life and these cats reminded me so much of my cats!
Here are the cutting instructions for the card. I also record a video on cut and folding everything for this fun card!
- Card Base: Sweet sorbet CS cut to 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ and scored at 4 1/4″.
- Designer paper: Country Floral DSP cut two pieces to 5 1/4″ x 4″. One for the outside of the card and a second for the inside.
- Basic White CS: 5 1/4″ x 8 1/4″ – score at 4″, 6 1/8″ – fold into a Z fold pattern.
- Country Floral DSP: Cut two pieces to 5 1/8″ x 2″ for the folds
- Basic White CS: pieces to cut out squares for stamping the Cats
- Sweet Sorbet CS: pieces to make the layers around the windows on the card
