June Paper Pumpkin, Welcome Inn

Today I am sharing a set of cards that I made using the June Paper Pumpkin Kit Welcome Inn. I have made the 3 cards that you receive in the kit and then used the paper from the other cards to make a fun Stunning Easel Shaker Card!

June Paper Pumpkin Cards

With most Stampin’ Up! Paper Pumpkin kits – you receive the supplies to make 9 cards. 3 cards with 3 different patterns. Some months there is an alternate project such as gift tags or little gift boxes for Holiday such as Halloween or Easter.

I made the 3 original cards and then used the leftover supplies to make my own version of the cards. This months’ kit; Welcome Inn coordinates with the Stampin’ Up! Countryside Inn Bundle in the new Annual Catalog. To cut out the flowers and Vases you will need the Welcome Inn Dies (163192). You can also fussy cut these.

I cut the pretty Designer paper from the Coral pattern and made the following Shaker Easel card!

Card Details

  1. Cut a piece of Basic White Cardstock to 4 1/4″ x 11″. score at 5 1/2″ & 2 3/4″. Fold the card in half to make the card base and then fold in at the 2 3/4″ score line to make the piece that stands up!
  2. Cut a piece of Calypso Coral Cardstock to 4 1/8″ x 2 5/8″. Use the White craft ink to stamp the floral image across the bottom of the piece. Cover with White Embossing powder and Heat emboss.
  3. Cut a piece of the Calypso Coral DSP to 4 1/8″ x 2 5/8″. Attach to the area just above the 2 3/4″ fold.
  4. Use the Calypso Coral ink pad and stamp the floral image across the White card base just above the Calypso Coral Designer paper.
  5. Cut a piece of Calypso Coral Cardstock to 4″ x 5 1/4″. Use the White Craft ink to stamp the Countryside Borders stamp on the piece. Cover with White embossing powder and heat with a heat gun. Use the coordinating border dies to cut out the 2nd largest border and the 2nd smallest borders to make a 2 layer piece for the center of the card front.
  6. Use the 2nd largest die to cut a piece of Calypso Coral cardstock and a piece of the window sheet.
  7. Use the 3rd largest die to cut out a piece of the Calypso Coral designer paper.
  8. Attach the largest Border die to the piece of Window sheet. Set aside to dry.
  9. Attach the Designer paper to the front of the Calypso Coral piece. Stamp flowers and vases. Cut out the flowers, leaves and vases with the Welcome Inn dies.
  10. Add the Vases with Flowers and Leaves to the front of the card.
  11. Flip over the Window sheet so the border is on the bottom. Use Adhesive Foam Strips around the border edge. Make sure they line up with the border.
  12. Remove the backing from the strips. Add sequins or other elements for the shaker part of the card onto the “well” that you just made. Line up the design piece with the design down and attach to the adhesive strips. This makes the Shaker Component of your card!
  13. Fold the center front of the card base into the Easel position. Add adhesive to the bottom back of the image and attach to the front of the card!
  14. Enjoy!
