Light the Way and Stargazing - Stamp with Marilyn

Today I am sharing a Step Fold Card using the LIght the Way Stamp set with the Stargazing Designer paper from Stampin’ Up! This is a card that my Stamp Club made last week.

This card starts with a card base of 4 1/4″ x 11″ piece of Starry Sky CS scored at 1″, 2″, and 6 1/2″. Fold this into a tent with a mountain fold in the front. Cut a second piece of Starry Sky CS to 2 1/2″ x11″ scored at 5 1/2” to make the TENT on the front of the card.

Card Directions:

I used the 12 x 12 Stargazing Designer paper which has the beautiful scenes of the night sky! Cut the following pieces for the sections of the card:

Bottom front panel – cut a mat of Tahitian Tide CS to 7/8″ x 4 1/8″. Cut a piece of Designer paper to 3/4″ x 4″. Attach to the Mat and to the front fold of the card.
Center front panel – Cut a piece of Orchid Oasis CS to 2 1/4″ x 5 3/8″. Cut a piece of Designer paper to 2″ x 5 1/8″. Attach to the Mat and then to the front of the “Tent” portion of the card.
Middle Front Panel – Cut a piece of Orchid Oasis CS to 4 1/8″ x 4 3/8″. Cut a piece of the Designer paper to 3 7/8″ x 4 1/8. Attach to the Mat and then to the large front section of the card base. NOTE: The tent will go over this piece.
Cut a piece of Basic White CS for the center of the card to 4 1/4″ x 4″. Attach to the center of the card.

Add adhesive to the back bottom side of the Tent Piece. Adhere to the Front 1″ Fold. Fold the piece over the top of the card base. Add adhesive to the bottom back and line up with the bottom of the card.

Stamp greens with Garden Green ink on scraps of Basic White cardstock. Stamp the LIghtening Bugs.

Cut the lantern out of a piece of Silver Foil. Punch a circle from a piece of Vellum CS. Glue to the back of the lantern and trim to fit the shape of the lantern glass. Color with the yellow Blends marker.
