Valentine’s 3D Candy Box

Today I am sharing a 3D Valentine’s box for this week’s Global Design Team Challenge.  I made this box from a pattern that one of my team members on the Stamping New England Team, Margaret Galvez created.  She is a very creative and talented person and a great asset to my team!

So the details on this project. The box is made from a 4 1/4″ x 9 1/4″  piece of Real Red Cardstock.  Score the piece at 3, 3 1/2″ , 6 1/2″, 7″.  Score the two long sides at 1/4″ x 5/8″.  Fold along the score lines and then cut out tabs along the top and bottom flaps.

The two flaps are decorated with pieces of the Sending Love Designer Series Paper Stack from the Stampin’ Up! Occasions catalog!   The tricky part with this box is the arrow on the top.  Margaret used the Heart framelit from the Love Notes Framelits die which has two sides that fold up.  She cut an arrow on the top  of the box and fed the sides of the heart thru the arrow to make a closoure.  When you fold the sides of the heart down, it makes a heart on top of the box.  I used Red Foil to cut the heart for the closure.

This box holds 6 of the Hershey nuggets.  You can wrap the nuggets in 1″ x 3″ pieces of Sending Love Designer paper – perfect for using up the scraps!

I love this cute little box!

Perfect for a small Valentine’s gift for a friend or teacher!

Handmade Christmas boxes

Box Punch Board
Today I have some handmade boxes to share with you that are made with the Stampin’ Up! Gift Box Punch Board.  These are perfect for packing up those Holiday gifts that we have all been purchasing!

These are sample boxes that me and my Stamping friends from the Stamping New England design team designed for our December Box it, Bag it, Tag it Theme.

The Stampin’ Up! Gift Box Board is perfect for creating boxes using carDSC_6445-3-2wd stock or heavy Designer paper.  For these boxes, the Under the Tree Designer Paper which is a little heavier than normal designer paper was used.   The Cherry colored box on the bottom left was made using a piece of 12″ x 12″ Cherry Cobbler Card stock.  The small box with the Merry Christmas and gold ribbon was made with a 6″ x 6″ piece of card stock.

Stampin' Up! Gift Box Punch Board
The Gift Box Punch Board has directions printed on the board and is very easy to use.  The dimensions for various boxes are also printed on the board.  Here are a few more examples:

The Punch board makes more than just square boxes.   This medium sized box on the left was made with the Under the Tree Designer paper.  A window was cut into the side using the Windows Collection Framelits and then a piece of Clear Window ShStampin' Up! Gift Box Punch Boardeet added.   The box was decorated with a piece of Gold Baker’s Twine and a note tag added cut from a piece of vellum using the Tag punch.  The snowflakes are from the Snowflake Card Thinlits die cut from Gold Glimmer paper.

Check out the Box it Class projects here.  There are step by step instructions for using the Gift Box Punch Board and several very cute projects.  These are the types of projects that my Stamper’s Club members receive each month for FREE with a $35 a month purchase!  Or you can purchase these instructions now for $6.95.
