Flower Patch Card

Today I am sharing a card that my one of my fellow designers and friend Lisa designed using the Flower Patch stamp set by Stampin’ Up!  fresh printswith the new Affectionately Yours Designer paper.

I belong to a Paper crafting Design Team:  Stamping New England.  Each month, 4 of us make 3 projects each using the same Stampin’ Up! stamp set and designer paper.  So we each have 12 unique projects made with the same supplies but each with a different style…  I love this since everyone has their own style and I love having other designer’s ideas to use!

So what I love about this card is the 3D Flower in the center of the card! ….and what really surprised me was how this card was made!  The Flower Patch stamp set comes with a coordinating set of Framelits – the Flower Fair Framelits.  So the flower is made by cutting the Daffodil Delight and Night of Navy cardstock with the leaf framelit and gluing them together to make the flower!

I would have never thought of that!

The background on this card is Whisper White with a layer of crumb cake.

This card is one of 12 projects that I offer in my June classes.  I will be sharing this project with my Stamper’s Club this month.  My Stamper’s Club projects are also available in my online store HERE.  Interested in getting projects in your email box every month?  Check out my Stamper’s Club!

Thanks for stopping by!

Handmade Birthday Cards

I love working with my Stamping Friends on the Stamping New England Design Team.  It is hard to believe that we have been working together for 9  months now!! Copy of IMG_0723w_edited-1   Well, one of my favorite sets of card designs that we put together was our designs for Birthday cards back in February.  For these designs we used the Birthday Bash Designer paper which coordinated with in-color cardstocks that have now retired. So, I have taken the layouts for these cards and translated them to the new Sweet Taffy Designer paper which coordinates with the Brights Card stock collection and inks.   photo 3e       These cards use the following items:
  • Sweet Taffy Designer Series Paper
  • Brights Cardstock Collection
  • Whisper White Cardstock
  • Cycle Celebration Stamp Set
  • Sketched Birthday Stamp Set
  • Brights Collection Buttons
  • Daffodil Delight Seam Binding
  • Rich Razzleberry Cotton Ribbon
I used 5 colors of ink from the Brights Collection.  You can use the ink pads or markers to ink up your stamps:
  • Old Olive
  • Tempting Turquoise
  • Melon Mambo
  • Daffodil Delight
  • Tangerine Tango
These cards are perfect for making a stack of Birthday cards to keep on hand for the inevitable times that you need a birthday card! The instructions for 12 Birthday Projects can be yours for $24.95.  This includes full color instructions for cutting, stamping and assembling these cards!  Or place an order of $40 or more and I will send you the directions for the cards for FREE.

Valentine’s Card Kits

DSCN0028e Here are a couple of Valentine’s cards which I would be offering as my Valentine’s Class if my classroom were functional.  But since I am “homeless” right now, I will offer card kits for this month. The first card is a silver and white card made with the new silver embossed vellum and layered onto silver foil. The stamp set is the Language of Love – however, if you don’t have this set – Heart’s a Flutter will work for these cards too. DSCN0039e   The second card is made with the Fresh Prints Designer paper stack and the Language of Love stamp set.  Again – the Hearts a Flutter stamp set would also work for this card. 2014-01-09 09.36.57 The third card is also made with the Fresh Prints designer paper.  The hearts are cut from red glitter paper using the Hearts a Flutter framelits.   Ang Coastal Cabana Card-2 The fourth card has a modern flair and is made with coastal cabana and real red card stocks and the silver embossed vellum.  The stamp is from the Hearts a Flutter set.     So the details: I will precut the card stock and provide all the embellishments – just like you are taking the class with me.  You can purchase this pre-cut card kit for $24.95 for 8 cards (2 of each of the 4 designs). Or  – I am offering the full set of directions for these Valentine’s cards and more as follows: First 3 card directions for $11.95 Directions for 6 different cards for $19.95 (these 4 cards plus 2 other cards) Directions for 8 different cards for $24.95.

3D Christmas Tree

This 3D Christmas Tree made with Stampin’ Up!’s designer paper and Dazzling Details glitter is absolutely beautiful in person.  I have had so many compliments on this tree over the past two years since my friend Karyn created it!

The Story behind this Tree.  2 years ago the Simply Scored Scoring Tool came out and my friend Karyn immediately purchased one.  And she went to town.  The next week, when I saw her, she had created this beautiful tree!  Then last year – Stampin’ Up! introduced the Rosette Die for the Big Shot.  The die made this project much easier and quicker!!

So this year – after many requests I am offering the directions for this 3D Tree with full detailed directions and a technique video.

There is a small and large version of the tree.  It is made by cutting strips of designer paper and using the Rosette Sizzix die to score the strips.  You then accordion fold the strips and make lollies for the layers of the tree.

I am also offering this Tree in Kit form with a   full set of directions with pre-cut and scored designer paper with a bottle of dazzling details for embellishment.  Everything has been pre-cut and scored for you so all you need is a glue gun to assemble the tree.

Option 1 – Full Instructions with Technique Video

Option 2 – Pre-cut Designer paper with Instructions and Video

Pre-cut 3D Tree
There are a couple of options for designer papers…  This is what I have prepped: Winter Frost – Blue/Silver blue-silver               Victorian – Red/Green victorian-red-green         Red/Green red-green

These trees are a lot of fun to make!
