Today I have a card that was made for the Stamping New England Design Team for our Mother’s Daytheme. Mother’s Day also happens to be the theme of the SUO Challengefor this week so I thought this card is perfect to share today.
I love this card and Designer paper! This Mother’s Day card is made with the Painted Petals Stamp setand Painted Blooms Designer Series paper with accents in Rose Red cardstock.
There are a couple of elements that I think set this card apart. One is that the Designer paper on the front of the card is lined up with the DSP on the bottom layer so the paper has the effect of a 2 part card. To make this effect you want to cut a piece of DSP at 5 1/4″ x
The second element that I really like about this card is the unique fold. The bottom layer of Blushing Bride cardstock and layer of DSP make up the card base, so the center layer has the fold for the inside of the card.
Also included with this card is a tab on the inside of the fold that holds a gift card. Perfect for a Mother’s Day gift certificate!
Here are the details on the card front. The phrase “You are Amazingly Amazing” is stamped with Rose Red ink on whisper white cardstock. It is punched out with the Decorative Label Punchand very lightly stamped with the roses from the Painted Petals Stamp setand Blushing Bride inkon the background. The layer for the label is made by punching a scrap of Rose Red cardstock with the Decorative Label punch. Cut the label in half and layer underneath the white label. This is a great way to layer labels when you only one size punch!
So don’t forget about your Mother on Mother’s Day!!

Today I have a handmade Mother’s Day card that I made for the Stamping New England Design Team’s April cards.
So what is Stamping New England? We are a group of 5 creative Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators that love to Create! Each month we select an upcoming theme and use a specific set of Designer paper and two to three stamp sets to create projects for that theme. So for the month of April – we worked on Mother’s Day and Wedding cards to use in our April classes. We also try to incorporate techniques as well.
So what does this mean for you? Each month we each make 3 unique projects and times 5 that is 15 unique and new projects each month! We each have a different style so our projects are uniquely ours but all coordinate since we are using the same papers. This gives each of us a wide range of projects to select from each month!
Interested in new projects designs each month? Check out my Stamper’s Club. You don’t have to be local to me (in the Boston area). For a purchase of $35 per month, you will receive a detailed set of color instructions each month in your mailbox. If a new technique is introduced, I will record a technique video. Of course, if you are in the Boston area, you can attend one of my monthly classes to make the cards and you will still receive full instructions for everything in your email!
So onto the details of this beautiful Mother’s Day card. This card is made with Whisper white and Island Indigo card stocks with Painted Petals Designer paper. The Layers on this card are cut out with the Floral Frames Collection Framelits. The Sentiment “Happy Mother’s Day” is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set. A perfect card to share with Mom!

Happy Mother’s Day!! This is a gift box that one of my talented customers Annie made for her Daughter’s Mother’s Day present!! Beautiful!
Annie used the Fresh Prints designer paper from the Occasions catalog with Read Red and whisper white card stocks. I thought the rose on the top of the box was made with the flower die in the Occasions catalog but Annie tells me that it is punches that have been layered. She found the pattern for this box on Poodlescraft You tube channel.
I have such talented customers!
Enjoy your day everyone!

Happy Mother’s Day to all of my friends out in Cyber Land!! This is the Mother’s Day card that I mailed on Thursday to my mother!
I am actually celebrating Mother’s Day with my kids and husband in Potsdam, NY My son graduated from Clarkson University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering! What a great Mother’s Day present!
This card is made with one of the new stamps, Wildflower Meadow, from the upcoming New Catalog!I used the new blue – Pool Party which is a returning in color. I stamped the image using White ink and embossed it with white Embossing powder. I then added pearls to the center of the flowers.
I added a couple of small cardstock flowers to the bottom corner. To make these, use the 7/8″ scallop circle punch to punch a scrap of card stock. Crumple up the card stock and kneed it to break down the fibers of the paper. Do this until you can pull the layers of the cardstock apart. Pinch from the center and layer two pieces together. Snip off the end of the flower and use crystal effects to attach to the card and hold together! Voila!
I love these flowers! Here is the same card but made with crumb cake card stock. I am not sure which one I like better. I do know that I like the look of the pearls on the center of the flowers! The pearls just seem to add that little pizazz to the card!
THis stamp set will be available in the new catalog in June. Don’t have a catalog? Email me and I will send you a catalog!
Happy Mother’s Day everyone!
