Here is a neat card that I made this week with the new Stampin’ Up!Snow is Glistening stamp setand the coordinating Snowfall thinlit dies.
One of the great advantages that I love about being a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator is the ability to order the products a month in advance so we can prepare classes and samples! This special offers two separate stamp sets with a set of thinlits that cut out snowflakes of all different sizes. There is also some neat white velvet paper that I had fun playing with.
I used the white velvet paper that is part of this special to make the snow and to cut out the small deer on the bottom of the card.
Here are the details on this card:
Card base: 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ piece of whisper white cardstockscored at 4 1/4″. The next layer is a piece of Tranquil tide cardstockcut to 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″. Then a piece of Joyous Noel Designer paper with the Tranquil Tide design cut to 5″ x 3 3/4″.
Next I stamped the tree onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock with Tranquil Tide ink. To add a little sparkle to my tree, I used Irredescent Ice embossing powder(which is retired) to emboss the tree. I cut out a small snwoflake from a scrap of Sparkle Glimmer paperfor the top of the tree.
I love the new White Velvet paper! To make the snow on the bottom I cut a small strip of the white velvet paper and used the thinlit die that coordinates with the Winter Woods stamp set to cut the snow border. The texture of this paper is very nice and perfect for the small deer. I used the detailed Deer thinlits to cut the small deer from the velvet paper. I found that you can color this paper with the Blends markers. I used the Crumb Cake Blends marker to color the deer.
The two trees are cut using the Tree dies from the Winter Woods stamp set. One is cut from the White Velvet sheet and the second is cut from a scrap of Tranquil Tide cardstock. I used a chalk marker to add a little white color and dimension to the tranquil tide tree.
I am in love with the Snow is Glistening stamp set. I can see lots of thank you cards for Holiday gifts with this set. Also perfect for Winter scrapbook pages! Ready to place an order? I would love to be your Demonstrator if you are in the US. If your order is under $150, use the Host Code X744RT6Y and I will send you a set of embellishments! Today I am sharing one of my favorite handmade fall cards from the Stampin’ Up! Holiday catalog using the Country Home stamp set. This card uses the Country Lane Designer series paper which has some great fall colors in it. Crushed Curry, Cajun Craze and Early Espresso is one of my favorite color combinations for fall!
The Country Lane DSP has a beautiful combination of Crushed Curry, greens, purple and brown shades. Perfect for fall. I was thinking perfect for making a Thanksgiving table come together with napkin rings and little favor ideas.
What I love about the Country Home Stamp set is the variety of images and the way that they layer together to make a beautiful focal point for a card.
Let’s move onto the details for this card.
The base of this card is a 11″ x 4 1/4″ piece of Crushed Curry cardstock scored at 5 1/2″. The next layer is a 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″ piece of Early Espresso cardstock.
The next layer is made up of two pieces, a 3″ x 3 3/4″ piece of Cajun Craze cardstock and a 3 3/4″ x 2″ piece of the Country Lane DSP with the Cotton Flower pattern. The cajun craze cardstock has been embossed with the Tin Tile embossing folder. As a person who has lived most of her life in antique houses, I love this folder.. My farmhouse had a Tin Ceiling in the kitchen.
The center piece is a 2 1/4″ x 3 1/4″ piece of Whisper white cardstock layered onto a 2 3/8″ x 3 3/8″ piece of Early Espresso cardstock. I stamped the milk jug on an extra piece of Whisper White cardstock with Black Momentoink. I added the flower arrangement on top and colored the flowers and the milk jug with Stampin’ Up!’s Blends markers. Next I cut out the milk jug and flowers very carefully and then added them to the center piece of the card. I used dimensionals to make this piece pop! Then I used the light Pool Party Blend markerto color behind the flowers and milk jug to give it a little depth. Then I added a couple of the Silver Faceted Gems to the bottom right side of the card.
On the inside of the card, I added a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Whisper White cardstock and stamped the flower arrangement. I also colored those with the Stampin’ Up! Blends markers. I think this does a lot to finish off this card!.
This is why the Country Home Suite is my favorite fall stamp set and DSP combination from the Holiday catalog.

I love the Stampin’ Up! Blended Seasons stamp set. This set has stamps for each season of the year so it is a great all occasion stamp set.
I have pulled together a couple of my favorite cards from this set that represent the seasons into an online class, just for you!
But – there is always a but isn’t there? This stamp set is only available until the August 31st!. See the details HERE on the special.
Another great thing about this stamp set is the Stitched Seasons Framelits that come as part of the bundle. These framelits 3 nested windows that have stitching on the inside and outside of the frame. This allows you to make a frame with stitching on both the inside and the outside by layering two window framelits together.
As soon as I saw the falling leaves that were part of this set, I knew that I needed to use copper for the Falling Leaves stamp. The leaves are stamped with versamark ink and colored with the Stampin’ Blends Markers. I added a frame cut from copper foil to highlight the leaves on the card.
I would love to be your Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator. You can place an order on my website HERE. If your order is under $150 then use the Host Code and I will send you a sampler of the new Joyous Noel Christmas DSP. Of course if your order is over $150 then keep the host benefits for yourself. I love to share benefits with my customers!
Today I am sharing a card that one of my friends made using the Stampin’ Up! Animal Outing stamp set. This Animal Outing handmade card would be perfect for a kid’s birthday!
The card base is Tranquil Tide CS cut to 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ and scored at 4 1/4″. The background is a layer of the the Tropical Escape Designer series paper. This Tropical designed paper is a perfect paper pattern to use for an animal set.
The giraffes are stamped with Early Espresso ink on Crushed Curry CS and cutout with the coordinating Animal Friends thinlits. The flower is stamped with the orchid from the Tropical Chic stamp set.
The circle and scalloped circle in the center of the card are cut out of the Layering Circles framelits. Whisper White and Tranquil Tide cardstocks were used for the circles.
Lastly the “Happy Birthday” message is stamped on a tag cut from the Stitched Labels Framelits. This is a perfect Framelit set that everyone should have in their collection.
The Stitched Labels framelit collection cuts several different shapes for labels with a pretty stitching pattern around the edge. There is also a stitched background which would be perfect for making a textured background for a card. And a long Stitched framelit to cut a stitched edge to a card. No more using a template and stylus to make a stitched edge on a card!
I hope you have enjoyed this card. Thank you to my friend JoJo for sharing it with me!!

Today I am sharing a beautiful card that I made with the Varied Vases stamp setand coordinating punch. This is a great bundle to make some cute quick cards. I used the Garden Impressions Designer paper with this set.
One of my favorite color combinations is navy and yellow so I was naturally drawn to this piece of designer paper.
So the details on this card.
Card Base: cut a piece of So Saffron cardstock to 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ and score at 4 1/4. First layer: So saffron piece of Garden Impressions DSP cut to 4″ x 5 1/4″ Second layer: Blue and saffron floral background cut to 3″ x 4″.
The Focal point of this card is the floral images stamped on a piece of 2 1/4″ x 3″ piece of whisper white cardstock. Then I stamped each of the 3 vases with Jet Black staz-onink. I added a flower to each vase and colored in the flowers with So Saffron ink.
The vases are punched out of scraps of the Garden Impressions DSP. I really liked the way this highlighted the vases. I attached the DSP vases over the stamped vase. Stamping the vase even though I know I am going to cover it up with DSP – helps to position the flowers. I added the middle vase last and used a dimensional so it looks like it is in front of the other two vases. This piece is layered onto a 2 3/8″ x 3 1/8″ piece of Night of Navy cardstock. This piece is centered to the center left of the Decorative DSP layer. I didn’t want to hide that beautiful navy and saffron DSP.
Last I stamped the message “Birthday Wishes” on a scrap of whisper white cardstock and punched it out with the Classic label punch. I used a dimensional to add this piece to the card.

Today I am sharing a card that I made with the new Blended Seasons stamp set that you will be able to order for the month of August only from Stampin’ Up!.
This set comes with a coordinating set of thinlits; the Stitched Seasons thinlits. I love the window framelits that are part of this set. Each of the windows is stitched on the inside and outside so you can cut an outline with the stitched edges.
Here are the details of this card. The card base is a piece of Whisper White cardstock cut to 11″ x 4 1/4″ and scored at 5 1/2″. Next is a second layer of whisper white cardstock cut to 4″ x 5 1/4″. I stamped the leaves with versamark ink randomly and embossed them with Copper Embossing powder. I used the Stampin’ Blends Markers to color in the leaf images.
Next I cut a Window from a piece of Copper Foilusing the large and medium Window Framelits that are part of the Stitched Seasons framelits. I can tell that these framelits with the stitched detail along the edge of the framelit will become a staple in my stamping room! I used dimensionals to pop up the frame over the leaves. I then tied a piece of the copper ribbon around the upper right hand corner of the frame. You can fray this ribbon to get a cool “metal” effect.
Last but not least I stamped the sentiment “thank you” that is part of the Blended Seasons stamp set with versamark ink on a 1″ x 3 1/2″ piece of vellum cardstock and embossed it with the Copper embossing powder. I snipped the end of the vellum to make a tail on the label and added it to the front of the card. The great thing about vellum is the transparency of it so you are not hiding any of the images on your project.

Today I am sharing a Handmade Graduation Card that I designed for my niece Hillary’s graduation from Merrimack College! What a huge milestone! This is one of my favorite card designs – a Z Fold Card. I love cards that move and Z Fold Cardsare one of my favorite types of cards to design!
The colors for this card are inspired by Hillary’s love of Lily Pulitzer clothes and colors. Pink and Green colors happen to be one my favorite colors combinations too! So this card is designed around the new Granny Apple Green cardstockand of course my favorite pink – Flirty Flamingo cardstock wiht a little Coastal Cabana thrown in for a blue shade. Aren’t you glad that Flirty Flamingo became a permanent color and that Coastal Cabana is back!
I used the Brights Designer paper stacksfor the back ground paper. Bringing back the Designer paper stacks in the color families was a great decision by Stmapin’ Up! I love having a designer paper that coordinates with every color! Here are the details on this card: The card base is a 5 1/2″ x 11″ piece of Flirty Flamingo Cardstock scored at 5 1/2″ and 2 3/4″. This is folded into a Z shape. The first 2 layers are two 2 5/8″ x 5 3/8″ pieces of Granny Apple Green DSP. The back panel is a 5 3/8″ square of Coastal Cabana DSP.
The arm of the Z Fold card is a 1 1/4″ x 11″ piece of Granny Apple Green cardstockscored at 5 1/2″ and 2 3/8″. Each panel of the arm is layered with a piece of Flirty Flamingo DSP. The numbers 2018 are cut using the Large Number framelits dies (which have now retired unfrotunately) from the Granny Apple Green and Flirty Flamingo cardstock. The key to the Z Fold card is to attach the arm folded in the opposite direction from the card.
The banner and stars are cut using the Birthday Bash framelits (also retired). I do love these framelits and the star explosion that the die creates!.
The inspiration for the card design was a graduation card that I designed last year for my daughter Emily. I have to admit that her card was a little more elaborate with a lot more bling. This card was designed around Sacred Heart University colors which is where my daughter graduated from. This card used Crushed Curry Cardstockand Cherry Cobbler Cardstock.
This is a great example of how you can take a favorite card that you designed before and change it to use for another occasion!
Want to learn how to make a Z Fold card? Here is a link to a video that I recorded last year on Z Fold cards. I also included a link to FREE PDF with full instructions on making Z Fold cards!
I love the new beautiful Designer papers in the new catalog! July is a great time to get started on your Holiday cards! – so If your order is under $150, use the Host Code V2NYMHQ4 and I will give you a sampler of the new Under the Mistletoe Designer Series Paper. I love this new bright and cheery DSP for the Holiday! If your order is over $150, keep the hostess benefits for yourself! I love to share rewards with my customers!
Today I am sharing a handmade Shower Invitation that my friend and I designed for her daughter’s shower.
I used the new Serene Garden Stamp setfrom the new Stampin’ Up! catalog. I love the look of this set. It is definitely very serene. This set would be perfect for thank you cards, thinking of you and sympathy cards. So pretty.
This set comes in a bundle with matching framelit dies. But it also has a die that embosses the main floral image.
The invitations are 5 x 7. The base is a piece of the new Blueberry Bushel cardstockcut to 5 x 7″. I was playing around with the width of the mat for this card and also the portrait versus landscape layouts. The card on the right with the portrait layout has a piece of Whisper White cardstock is cut to 4 3/4″ x 6 3/4″. The image is stamped on the lower left corner with Basic Gray ink. For the landscape invitation I cut the Whisper White cardstock to 4 1/2″ x 6 1/2″ for a wider mat on the base.
I used the Old Olive Blends marker to color the leaves on these cards. I really like the shading effects that you can get with the Stampin’ Blends markers. For the flowers I used the Blueberry Bushel ink with an aqua painter since this color isn’t available in the Stampin’ Blends markersyet.
So of course I had to try out the new embossing die. So I made a card using some of the new purple colors; Highland Heather and Gorgeous Grape. NOTE: you do need an embossing mat for your Big Shot. Check out the Embossing mats in the new catalog on page 221.
For the this card, the base is Gorgeous Grape cardstock cut to 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4. The next layer is 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Highland Heather cardstock.
The next layer is a 2″ x 3 1/2″ piece of Whisper White cardstockwith a mat of Gorgeous Grape cut to 2 1/8″ x 3 5/8″.
For this card, I used an aqua painter and did a wash across the white cardstock for the sky. I stamped the corner leaf image in the two bottom corners. Next I stamped the leaf with single flower image and the larger flower above. I then stamped the two flowers again with the butterfly on scrap cardstock and cut them out with the framelit dies. I colored these image with Highland Heather ink and an aqua painter. The leaves are colored with the Old Olive Blends Markers.
Then I attached the flower over the image with mini dimensionals. You can’t tell by the pictures, but I also used a Wink of Stella pen on the larger flower so that it stands out and shimmers which it does!
I can tell that the Serene Garden stamp set is going to become one of my go to stamp sets with this catalog!
Here are the supplies that I used for these items today:
So which invitation do you like better? The landscape or portrait?
