Happy Easter

Happy EasterHappy Easter!  Today I am sharing a card that I made with the Stampin’ Up! Easter Message Stamp set and the Carousel and Cupcakes Designer Series paper.

The card base is a 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ piece of So Saffron cardstock scored at 4 1/4″.  The next layer is a piece of Sahara Sand cardstock cut to 4″ x 5 1/4″ and embossed with the Falling snow embossing folder.

The top layer is a piece of the Yellow Sunbeam DSP from the Cupcakes & Carousel Designer Series paper stack.  I love this paper!  I cut the paper to 3 7/8″ x 3″.

The Messages are stamped using Stampin’ Up! Black archival ink on a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock and cut using the Stitched Shapes Framelits.  These new framelits are great for cutting out a design that has the faux stitching around the edge.  This set of framelits has 4 ovals, 4 circles and 4 squares that fit with the Layering Oval, Circle and Square framelits.  For this card, I layered the message on a Scalloped oval cut from a piece of Sweet Sugarplum cardstock.

The Cross is stamped on a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock.  I used the new Watercolor pencils with a blender pen to color in the cross and the cloth on the cross.  I then cut out the cross with a pair of Stampin’ Up! Snips (my most used and favorite tool!).  The cross is mounted onto the card using the new Foam Adhesive Strips to add dimension.

Here are the supplies that I used to make this card.

Easter Bunny Punch card & Weekly Specials

Bunny Punch CardToday I have a card share for Easter, an Easter Bunny Punch Card.  I love cards made with punches.  These cards are great since you can use up your little scraps to make the pieces.  The other thing that I like about cards made with punches is they can be used each year with new papers.

This card uses a circle made cut from white card stock for the bunny’s body.  The edges of the circle have been sponged with soft suede to add a touch of color to the body.  The feet are made from the extra large oval punch cut from white cardstock.  The inside of the feet is punched from the large oval punched from pink pirouette card stock.  The bunny’s tail is punched from the triple flower punch.

The message Happy Easter is from the word set Teeny Tiny Wishes.  The cardstock base is Island Indigo.

Also – don’t forget about the specials for this week!

Handmade Easter Card

Handmade Easter CardToday I have a handmade Easter Card that was inspired by one of my fellow team members on the Stamping New England Design Team.  Our theme for the month of March is Easter cards.   I changed the design of the card to use it for today’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge.

So here are the details of this card:
Chocolate Chip, Soft Suede, Baked Brown Sugar and Sahara Sand.

Fold a piece of Chocolate Chip cardstock in half at 4 1/4″ to make the card base.  Use the Wood Grain embossing folder to add texture to a piece of 4 x 5 1/4″ Soft suede cardstock.  The Cross is made from scraps of baked Brown sugar cardstock that I stamped with the wood grain image from the Truly Grateful stamp set.  You can also use the Hardwood Background stamp to create the woodgrain effect.  Linen Thread is wrapped around the cross piece of the cross.

The flowers are stamped using Daffodil Delight ink and the nPetite Petals stamp set and punched out with the coordinating petite petals punch.  The center of the flowers have been highlighted with the pumpkin pie marker.  The circle in the background is punched from a piece of Chocolate Chip cardstock.  Easter wishes is stamped on a scrap of crumb cake cardstock and added with dimensionals.  Finally I added a button threaded with linen thread to the top corner of the card for an embellishment.

Stay tuned for more sneak peaks of Easter cards from the Stamping New England design team.  Interested in card ideas each month from our design team?   Join my Stamper’s Club and receive our card ideas each month.  Check out the details HERE.
