Birthday Card & Weekly specials

Today I have a Birthday card to share that is one of the cards that we are making today at my monthly Stamper’s club meeting.

This card uses the It’s My Party Designer Series Paper, the Number of Years stamp set and the Balloon Bouquet punch from the Balloon Celebrations Bundle.

My new favorite way to make Birthday cards is to combine the Number of Years stamp set with the Balloon Celebrations Stamp set from the Occasions catalog.

I have seen so many great cards made with this combination of stamp sets and dies.

Love these Birthday cards?  Check out my new online class!   These two stamp sets are the focus of my new online class!

… and onto the weekly specials: Ready to order? If your order is under $150 then use the Hostess code UYPQFSKP and receive a ribbon sampler from me. Of course if your order is over $150 then collect the hostess $ yourself!

I love the share the hostess benefits with my customers.
You can place an order from my website HERE.

Handmade Birthday card

This adorable handmade Birthday card is made with Stampin’ Up!’s new stamp set In This Together.  Thanks to Nancy Flanagan, one of my really talented downlines who designed this card.  One of my customers, Cathie decided that this is just what she wanted for her friend’s birthday so CASED it.  And best of all there is a cute little pocket on the inside which is perfect for a gift certificate! DSCN0470wDSCN0472inside Here are the details for the card: Cardstock:  Melon Mambo, Blushing Bride and Whisper White. The image is colored in with Stampin’ Write markers.  The frame is made by using two oval dies nested together to cut a 1/4″ oval.  NOTE:  you can next the two dies together on your piece of cardstock and run them through your die cutting machine in one pass. The sentiment “Make a Wish” is from the Perfect Penants stamp set and is stamped and embossed with white craft ink and white embossing powder.  To add a little bling, Cathie used dazzling details on the frame – just paint it on with a paint brush and some rhinestone jewels on the sentiment which was punched out with the decorative label punch. I love the little pocket on the inside!  Perfect for a gift certificate!  To make this pocket – cut a piece of cardstock that is 2 1/2″ x 4 1/4″.  Use a little piece of sticky strip to attach just the edges to the card.  YOu want to be able to add  your gift certificate to the inside.  For the “flap” on the envelope, cut a piece of whisper white cardstock to 1″ x 4 1/4″.  Place on your cutter and cut at a diagonal angle.  Use a corner rounder to make the rounded corner on the flap.  Attach to the front of the pocket envelope! Cathie used the Label Collection framelits to cut a piece of blushing bride cardstock to add to the inside of the envelope. Great Job! signature line-003

Handmade Birthday card

Today’s card is a handmade Birthday card that I  made for the SUO Challenge.  The theme of the challenge is to use a shape other than a square or circle.  So I chose stars to make a birthday card.  I used the star embossing folder on Hello Honey cardstock. star card     Here are the details of the card; Card base is Island Indigo with a layer of Hello Honey which I embossed with the star embossing folder.  The pennant is cut from Confetti Celebration Designer paper. The stars are made from Strawberry Slush and Tangerine Tango cardstocks and cut using the Star framelits. Make a Wish is stamped using the Perfect Pennants stamp set. Thanks for checking out my card! signature line-003

Handmade Birthday Card

This is a handmade birthday card made with the Confetti Celebration Designer Paper.    This year, I purchased one set of each of the new Designer Papers and have been trying to use a new set of paper each time I make a new card DSCN0326wdesign.  So this is today’s MojoMonday sketch challenge. Here are the details:
        • Stamp Set – Perfect Pennants
        • Designer Paper – Confetti Celebration
        • Cardstocks – Tangelo Twist, Crushed Curry, Strawberry Slush, Bermuda Bay and Whisper White
        • Inks– Bermuda Bay, Strawberry Slush, Tangelo Twist and Crushed Curry
DSCN0328cu The card base is Tangelo Twist with a layer of Crushed Curry.  The crushed curry is embossed with the Arrows Embossing folder.  I used the coordinating markers to color in the “a” and banners and cut them out to make them 3D.  The star is stamped with Strawberry Slush ink and added with a dimensional. mojo353     Today I had a helper with my design process.  My nephew Adam is staying with me for a couple of weeks so he can attend the tennis camp in our neighborhood.  So he wanted to design a card too. Here is Adam coloring in the flower that he stamped with the Blended Bloom Stamp.  He used the STampin’ Write markers to color in the flower.   DSCN0320eHere is his card.  He used the same Confetti Celebration designer paper with Tempting Turquoise, Tangelo Twist, and Pacific Point card stocks.   He layered his Blended Blossom flower onto a squaDSCN0322ewre of Blackberry Bliss. Adam punched a flower using the Pansy punch and added that to the corner of the card.  He used a piece of Mossy Meadow Ribbon to make the leaves on the punched flowers.   Adam did a great job with this card…  A Future Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator??  He just celebrated his 8th Birthday!   Enjoy! signature line-003
