Today I am showing you a card that I made with the Medallion stamp set from Stampin’ Up!. This card was for my monthly Stamper’s Club. They requested vintage scrapbook pages and cards for April’s class. So the details on this card: The card base is Crumb Cake card stock. The first layer on this card is a piece of very vanilla card stock that has been stamped with the Medallion stamp in Primerose Petals which is one of the retiring In-colors. This layer is then embossed with the Baroque Embossing folder. At the bottom of this layer is a 1 1/2″ strip of newsprint designer paper. This piece is layered with a piece of Crumb Cake card stock which has been punched with the Scallop Trim Border punch. This punch is also retiring. I will definitely miss this punch! The card is finished up with a piece of vanilla seam binding tied into a bow and adhered with a vintage brad. And of course, you can’t forget the bling on a vintage card – I added a large Pearl Jewel to the center of the Medallion and small Pearl Jewels between the scallops on the border. Like these ideas? These ideas and other like them, are available to my Stamper’s Club members each month. Check out more on my Stamper’s Club here. Happy Stamping!
Sunday was my downline meeting and we all had a great time getting together and catching up. Of course we discussed a little business too… Our bi-annual retreat to Cape Cod is coming up!! We have a great time getting together for 2 days on Cape Cod, sharing ideas and stamping. I have a really creative group! Interested in And of course we all shared cards and classes that we have been working on. Michele Lacerda, who has been in my group the longest brought this card. Happy 10th Anniversary Michele! I love the vintage look of the card. I am thinking that she used 2 stamps sets for the background with Just Because stamped in Soft Suede for the image. I love the roses that are in the spring mini catalog. They really brighten up a card! This is a close up of the roses. Michele used a piece of victorian lace and the leaves from the Bird punch under the roses. Then of course she used the oval punch and scalloped oval and added a couple of rhinestone pearls to spice up the message… I love it!! Marilyn SanClemente
