Valentines Card

Bloomin' Heart Valentine

Today I am sharing a Handmade Valentines Card that we made yesterday at my Stamper’s Club meeting.

The card base is made with Blushing Bride cardstock cut to 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ and scored at 4 1/4.  The card base is then embossed using the Decorative Dots embossing folder.

Next is a 3 5/8″ x 4 7/8″ piece of Love Blossoms Designer paper layered onto a piece of 5″ x 3 3/4″ piece of crumb cake cardstock.

The Bloomin’ Heart Thinlit die is used to cut an outline of the heart from the designer paper.  HINT:  Cut out the heart before you attach the designer paper to the crumb cake layer.

Next I cut a heart from a piece of Blushing Bride Glimmer paper.  I love that Stampin’ Up! keeps adding new colors of Glimmer paper!  The Glimmer heart is attached over the cut out of the heart on the designer paper.

Then I stamped the banner image using Rose Red ink and the “BE MINE” using crumb cake ink.  I also stamped a couple of flowers using crumb cake ink on a scrap of whisper white cardstock.  These were cut out using the flower dies in the Bloomin’ Heart dies.  The flowers are attached with glue dots and I added a Rhinestone Jewel to the center of each flower.  The Banner is attached with dimensionals.
