You’ve Got This Card

Today I am sharing a caryouve got this-wd made with the Stampin’ Up! stamp set You’ve Got this that was inspired by this week’s Global Design Project team.  This week’s challenge is a color challenge using the new Stampin’ up! In-color Sweet Sugarplum, with Whisper White and Night of Navy.  What a great combination of colors!

So the details on this card.  The card base is Sweet Sugarplum Cardstock cut to 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″ to make the card base.  Next a 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″ layer of Rich Razzleberry which complements Sweet Sugarplum very nicely!.  Then I used a 5″ x 3 3/4″ piece of the Blooms & Bliss Designer Series Paper.

Next is a piece of Whisper White cardstock cut to 2 3/4″ x 3 3/4″.  I stamped the flower from the You’ve Got This stamp set using Night of Navy ink and embossing the flower with Clear Embossing Powder.

COLORING NOTE:  I love coloring these images with an aqua painter filled with water.  I make a little puddle of ink in the top of the ink pad by squeezing the ink pad before opening it.  You can also use a couple of drops of re-inker in the top of the ink pad.   I have found that when coloring in an outline image like this one, I like to emyouve got this cuboss the image which allows me to use a little more water with the ink to soften and shade the flower.  I used Pear Pizazz ink to color the stem and leaves of the flower.  The center of the flower is colored with Crushed Curry and highlighted with the Gold Wink of Stella pen.  The flower is layered onto a piece of Night of Navy cardstock.

I wrapped a piece of the white organza ribbon around the flower and added it to the front of the card.

Next I stamped the message “Celebrate You” from the Suite Sayings stamp set with Navy ink and punched the piece out with thyouve got this-insidee Decorative Label Punch.  I used a sponge to add a little ink to the edge of the sentiment and layered it onto a piece punched from Night of Navy with the Decorative Label punch.

Did I mention that this card is for my Darling Daughter Emily’s 21st Birthday which is Wednesday?  Here is a picture of the inside of the card.  The message is from the Rose Wonder stamp set.

Ready to place an order?  Use the hostess code FREEVQUY and I will send you a sampler of the new in-color ribbons.  Of course if your order is over $150 then collect the hostess benefits for yourself.

Here are the supplies that are used to make this card.
