This handmade card incorporates the mesmerizing Floating Image Technique, creating an enchanting and memorable visual experience for the recipient. The main focal point of the card is a raised image that appears to be floating.
Let’s Dig into the Details of our card:
- Card Base: 4 1/4″ x 11″ scored at 5 1/2″. Cut off 1″ from the front of the card
- Cut a piece of Designer paper or stamp and image for your Focal Point to 3 3/4″ x 3 3/4″
- Cut a piece of coordinating CS to 4″ x 4″ for the background
- Cut a piece of a window sheet to 4×4″
Cut the Focal piece into random strips ranging from 1/2″ to 1″ and lay them out in order as you cut them. Afterwards glue each piece to the window sheet leaving a small space between the pieces. Set aside to dry for a minute.
Add dimensionals on the back side of the Window Sheet making sure to place the dimensionals behind the strips on the image so they are hidden and do not show through on the window sheet.
Stamp a sentiment and add embellishments as desired!
This is a second card that I made using the Cheerful Daisies stamp set and dies. For this card I stamped the Daisy Image using Misty Moonlight ink for the outline and Boho Blue ink for the flower petals. The center of the Flower is Crushed Curry Ink.
