3 Celebrate the Miracle cards for Hanukkah

Today I am sharing a few cards that I made with the new Stampin’ Up! Hanukkah Stamp set called Celebrate the Miracle! What I love about this set is the number of messages but also there are stamps for both spellings of Hanukkah (Chanukah).

Celebrate the Miracle

Navy Card Details:

  • Night of Navy CS cut to 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ – scored at 4 1/4″ to make card base.
  • Basic White CS cut two pieces to 5 1/4″ x 4″ – one for the inside
  • Shinning Brightly Designer paper cut to 5″ x 3 3/4″.

Use a versarmark ink pad to stamp the menorah base with clear ink. Cover with Gold embossing powder and heat with heat gun to emboss the image. Use the candle stamp with Misty Moonlight ink to stamp the candles. I used Crushed Curry ink to make the flames for the candles.

Cut out with a large Circle punch of a set of Circle dies. Cut a Scalloped Circle from the Distressed Gold paper. Stamp “Happy Hanukkah” with versamark ink on a scrap of basic white CS. Emboss with the Gold embossing powder. Use a label die to cut out the label. Cut a second label from the Distressed Gold Paper. Cut in half and use the distressed gold to mat the label. Attach to the bottom of the card.

Attach the second piece of Basic White CS to the inside of the card. Use a scrap of the Shinning Brightly Designer paper for the bottom of the inside layer. Stamp a couple of stars on scraps of Basic White scraps. Cut out and add to the inside of the card.

Below is my second card using the Celebrate the Miracles stamp set.

Details of the Vanilla Card:

  • Cut a piece of Very Vanilla CS to 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″. Score at 4 1/4″ to make card base.
  • Cut a piece of Shinning Brightly Designer paper to 4″ x 5 1/4″
  • Cut a piece of Night of Navy CS to 3″ x 5 1/4″
  • Cut a piece of Very Vanilla CS to 2 7/8″ x 5 1/4″

Stamp the Menorah with Versamark ink and emboss with Silver Embossing Powder on a piece of Vellum CS. Stamp the candles with Misty Moonlight Ink and Crushed Curry ink for the flames. Cut out with a large Circle or Oval.

With Misty Moonlight ink stamp the row of 3 small stars across the Center piece of Very vanilla Cardstock. I made the pattern by moving over slightly on the row below and covered the piece to make the design. Attach to the piece of Night of Navy CS. Attach to the front center of the Card.

Creative Tip: Vellum is a translucent paper and glue or adhesive will show through the vellum. Use Glue dots behind the candles to attach the Vellum to the front of the card or run a fine tip glue behind the menorah.

Stamp the large star and cut out. Attach to the bottom of the card.

This third card is also stamped with Silver Embossing powder. The message is stamped with Misty Moonlight ink on a piece of Vellum cardstock. Regular ink does not dry on vellum. so if you stamp with a Color, use clear embossing powder to emboss images on vellum!
