Today I am sharing a card that I made with the new Blended Seasons stamp set that you will be able to order for the month of August only from Stampin’ Up!.
This set comes with a coordinating set of thinlits; the Stitched Seasons thinlits. I love the window framelits that are part of this set. Each of the windows is stitched on the inside and outside so you can cut an outline with the stitched edges.
Here are the details of this card. The card base is a piece of Whisper White cardstock cut to 11″ x 4 1/4″ and scored at 5 1/2″. Next is a second layer of whisper white cardstock cut to 4″ x 5 1/4″. I stamped the leaves with versamark ink randomly and embossed them with Copper Embossing powder. I used the Stampin’ Blends Markers to color in the leaf images.
Next I cut a Window from a piece of Copper Foil using the large and medium Window Framelits that are part of the Stitched Seasons framelits. I can tell that these framelits with the stitched detail along the edge of the framelit will become a staple in my stamping room! I used dimensionals to pop up the frame over the leaves. I then tied a piece of the copper ribbon around the upper right hand corner of the frame. You can fray this ribbon to get a cool “metal” effect.
Last but not least I stamped the sentiment “thank you” that is part of the Blended Seasons stamp set with versamark ink on a 1″ x 3 1/2″ piece of vellum cardstock and embossed it with the Copper embossing powder. I snipped the end of the vellum to make a tail on the label and added it to the front of the card. The great thing about vellum is the transparency of it so you are not hiding any of the images on your project.
